This is magnificent footage! While some traditional railfans disparage drones this video illustrates how the drone opens up views and perspectives which are available in no other way. A drone will never replace trackside camera photography but drone cameras can complete the scene and add real value to overall understanding of railroading.

Jerry Smith Thanks! Though a lot of great places are getting harder and harder to photography on any kind of ground level since our world only continues to get overgrown in the places that are best. Keddie Wye for example. Both have their place though.

Hello!! from Mexico, very good video, a small train but I think it gives a special touch to the video to see the whole train, the landscape and that hare running races !! And what to say of the SD40, really on a scale of 1 to 10 you have 11, I congratulate you, greetings!

I have a strong admiration for this line. It's disappointing because some of the really good sections of the line are ran at night. Luckily not over the summit here.

Thanks for a great shoot! Am going to model the line from Steinman to the summit tunnel in N scale. This really really helps, especially the scenery around Dollarhide Curve and the I5 bridge. BTW, I also fly a Mavic Pro, and I have to say I admire your guts in shooting while going backwards near the summit tunnel!!!!

Just a heads up to both of you, CORP just got a pair of ex CSX SD70M’s on the 22nd of February! They’re in the Eugene yard right now and servicing the north end of the line between Roseburg and Eugene right now, but I think it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to have envision them farther south at some point :-)

Always a good investment of your time. I've actually come across music that I actually had to conceive of a video for. Turns out pretty good sometimes. kzitem.info/news/bejne/u2lruY6DoYqkan4

I think after the landslide in Oregon at Frazier on Union Pacific's Cascades line, UP was considering using CORP's line at Siskyou via trackage rights.

The grade at Hilt doesn't look as steep as it is. That's a 3% grade. The Sierras are 2 to 2.2%, the Cascades are 1.8%.
