Traveling LAX-BWI-MHT It was a real treat to fly a 737-300. These planes are becoming more scarce so it's always nice to include one on the trip. Watch in HD and enjoy.
Even though I prefer the 737 classic wings without winglets, I have to admit it looks nice ^^ Great camera job, I liked !!!

Well, how you hold the camera changes slightly from plane to plane, depending on where the window is set. The main thing is you want to "brace" your camera, not just hold it and believe it or not you need a little concentration. If I'm of the left side of the plane, I use my left hand / palm and push the camera hard into that hand. Then I use my right hand and take a steady grasp to support trying not to cover the mic. You also need to "think" about holding it steady, and that really helps.

They are not making the 300 anymore?.I am flying from Pittsburgh to Baltimore than to Manchester. Will I be on a 737-300?

737-700 is the modern version of the 300 series. But the new ones have the stupid noise control and pollution control fuel efficient engines. Nothing like the roar of a classic jet engine.

The 737NG engines aren't quiet from behind. They are quieter in front where all the good sounds come from.

This video was shot with a Sony HX-100V camera. I am really pleased with this camera because it's a wonderful cross between a quality still photo camera and video camera. It will shoot 1080p at 60 fps like all of Sony's regular video cameras do. I think Sony has since upgraded this camera to the HX-200V. Thanks for watching.

I forgot to mention, another think I do is if I sit on the left side of the plane, sometimes I hold the camera with my right hand and push it firmly into my left shoulder. That way the camera is out of sight and I can still get a descent angle with a fairly steady shot. That's how I filmed my most recent Allegiant videos with my camera pushed into my shoulder.

I agree. It's kind of a cool sight though. I only fly about 3-4 times a year so I really don't see this. Usually supplies are loaded from the back or front on the right-hand side of the plane from what I see on a day of flying.

Thanks! Yes they are great. Their wifi was an awesome deal; only $5 to my destination so it definitely made the 4 1/2 hour plane flight from LAX-BWI a little more bearable.

It depends on the flight. Sometimes the FA's do their briefing before pushback and sometimes not. I just try to get my shots in between when they are walking.

Good eye, I didn't even notice that. I can't say I've seen that on a plane parked at the gate unless there was some repair that needed to be done.

Whoa, I wonder what was up with the overwing exit door missing on the -500 at the gate in the background

I’ve flown on the -300s a couple of times with this airline and even a -500 at least once. They took good care of those planes, sad to see them gone.

Oh man, I almost forgot I filmed this. 10 years ago! That’s nice you got a handful of 737 “classic” flights. Also sad to see them gone. They had more character and just seemed to roar a little more than the newer generation. Thanks for watching!
