I read somewhere that 1 cup soya has almost 15-17 gm protein and 8-9 gm fiber- that makes it an ideal ingredient to have regularly if you are on weight loss journey. And if you make soya thalipith with added besan and veggies thats additional protein and nutrition. Enjoy-
Ingredients :
1.5 cup Soya Chunks (soak in warm water for 30 min)
3 tbs Gram Flour (Besan - alternatively rice flour or suji can be used)
1 tsp Carrom Seeds (Ajwain)
1 tsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
Red Chilli Powder (as per taste)
Salt as per taste
Finely chopped Green Chillies, Ginger & Garlic
Finely chopped Onion, Carrot & Coriander
Oil (for roasting)
Method :
Soak 1.5 cup Soya Chunks in warm water for 30 min
Squeeze out water and take them in a mixer jar
Coarsely grind soya chunks (to get soya mince)
Transfer in a mixing bowl
Add 3 tbs Gram Flour (Besan for binding)
Add 1 tsp Carrom Seeds (Ajwain)
Add 1 tsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
Add 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
Add Red Chilli Powder (as per taste)
Add Salt as per taste
Add finely chopped Green Chillies, Ginger & Garlic
Add finely chopped Onion, Carrot & Coriander
Combine everything together with hands
Now heat the pan, add some Oil and wipe it with a tissue
Spread handful of mixture on hot pan
Make 2-3 holes in it and drizzle oil around
Cook for 7-8 min until it's nice golden-brown from both the sides
(make more thalipith with same procedure)
