You know it is bad when they don't even bother to take down the Sears signage

Sorry for the multiple posts but I really like your videos. I wonder why people don’t go to malls anymore. Here are my reasons. 1. They are too far away and a pain to get to. Developers liked to build malls right off of interstate exits and that might have worked in the 80s, but most of these exits now are too congested because the areas are now too developed and the interstate overpass stop lights jam up traffic. People have just simply decided it’s not worth the hassle. Malls need to be closer to the suburbs and easy to get to. 2. Indoor Malls don’t sell what I need. You can find your average cookie cutter clothes and shoes in your local strip malls or Walmart. Malls need to have stores that sell specialty items like big and tall. For instance, I’m 6’5 with a size 14w shoe. If malls had stores that catered to people like me I would go there. But most of them don’t. Also, hardware stores are thriving. It may sound unusual but having a Home Depot or Lowe’s as an anchor store would not be a bad idea IMO. While the husband takes his time searching through all the tools and such in the hardware store, the wife can take off and search for other things in the mall.

I'm working on a video about reasons why the indoor shopping mall is on the decline. Stay tuned!

@@malltours Hint: Online shopping is a cop out excuse. It is only a small part of the reason.

Great video! With how closest mall is to cocoa beach, I’m surprised to see it struggling. Unfortunately, that’s what happens when Namdar takes over for ownership. It’s a bummer honestly :(

As we South Florida people call it burdines. (Bur-Dines) Yes they were bought out by Macy's. It was based in Miami. Even the Miami Orange Bowl was named after it at one time. It was called Burdines Stadium.

It’s not a good sign when Namdar is the owner of a mall. Malls nowadays don’t have personality. I like the decor from years past.

I remember Jordan Marsh and Burdines where I grew up in dade county.I think those two stores were mostly in Florida because I haven’t heard of them ever being in places up north.

Btw, Burdines isn’t pronounced like sardines. The “dine” part of Burdines was pronounced like dine as in when you’re going to a restaurant you “dine” out. It wasn’t pronounced like deen.

Thank you! I'm not from Florida so I hadn't ever heard of this store.
