This is an interview that should not have ended. Or, there should be a Part 2. It could be a series ... ISS Management.

+pamupec yes, everyone who is going to the ISS trains in the soyuz as it is the main form of transport there, whether it be CSA, NASA, ESA, JAXA, etc...

Does it means both ESA and NASA astronauts trained to drive Soyuz?
@nebtheweb8885

Yes. It is part of their training.

The commander is Russian, but the astronauts train quite extensively as well.

Two conclusions at first view: There are not terrorists in the Space away. The Space around us is a relatively calm region in the Espace around the Earth and around to us. I had only a flight of 08:02 minutes in my short voyage around Earth.

How much is worth 10 kg of propellant?
@danczer1
9 жыл бұрын
+Damian Reloaded It has about 880 kg usable fuel. It's between $ 60 to $240 depending on the www.astronautix.com/props/n2o4udmh.htm
@PSPMHaestros

The propellant itself its not very costly, the expensive part is putting it in space.

Edu - Krux172 Yeah, that's what I meant. I knew I should have worded it more explicitly. How much does it cost 1 kilogram of propellant once it's in orbit inside a soyuz? Ladislav Tánczos That's doesn't account the launch does it?

+Damian Reloaded Really i wanted to know how much dV is 10kg of propellant EDIT: Obviously that depends on the mass of the soyz (empty/full fuel), but like on average (half-full)?.. also saying "docking with less than 10kg of propellant" doesnt mean anything concrete, it'd be much more dV with a near empty soyuz (has 10kg of propellant) vs full (880kg? of propellant)
@DamianReloaded

urjaman0 He probably meant 10kg of propellant under "normal conditions" whatever is normal for them up there (probably an almost empty soyuz).

Does anyone know of a situation that would cause the Soyuz to come back? They make it sound like there's an elephant in the room.

+Jonah Beale (RCFlyer) A major hull breach would cause the evacuation of the station dependant on the damage. Hull breaches can happen at any the time on the ISS because of the large amount of debris that we have in orbit, not to mention astronomical phenomena. They try to stage EVA's during times when they are less likely to be hit by debris or micrometeorites or be affected by events such as the perseids showers.

Are these memes? or are people truly convinced that all of these are fake? I shed a tear for all pilos, of air and spacecraft : (. I wonder if they are sad about people not believing what they do, or if it makes them feel mighty instead
