Coach needs to not let these newer fighters try to develop their "own style" until they got the fundamentals down first.

He looks like a clown, who believes he is a boxing Floyd Mayweather all while punching a total beginner way too hard.

Yes its my favorite but I try not to use it to much to my sparing partners head for their safety, but usually I land it to the body to later switch it up to the head.

this makes me so angry, jab is way to hard for a beginner sparring, whole attitude is not respectful. Not a good way to spar.

Bro. Relax. You aren't doing him or yourself any favours by throwing that hard. Technical sparring will progress you so much faster and noone loses braincells.

if you want to study these jabs study them from the real hitman, not mashiba.

Nope. didn't learn from no anime character. I didn't even know who he was until yall brought him up. From what I can tell this sparing session predates mishibas first anime appearance by a couple of yrs.

in that case, I take my words back. You still need to be careful doing this. Make sure you hide that chin behind your shoulder when you throw the jabs and keep moving your head, otherwise you’ll get caught a lot

the reason I said this is because i’ve tried this style myself, I have a long reach and it just ended up with me getting caught with straight punches. The facts are that hearns actually trained for this style, where as for us it’s better to stick to the basics

@@anas.e74 lol I know how to counter the flik jab too. You jam it and come over the top with a straight right lol which sounds like it was happening to you. This takes good timing tho so I throw people off with faints and throwing different types of jabs and hooks with that lead hand. The pattern is flick stick hook move. Flick stick hook move. Its very hard to deal with but, off corse every technique has its weaknesses there is no such thing as a full proof technique this is why you should study the weaknesses of each and how to counter every technique and style you learn. Its not the move or the style its you.

I get that, my point is that this kind of style needs countless drilling exercises just like the philly shell. If you don’t have the right reactions or habits you don’t need a right hand over the top to get you, just a non telegraphed straight 1-2 or any straight punch. Which is why it’s better for beginners to stick to the basics
