Just to save the op a lot of hateful comments in the future allow me to introduce you to the "The Rule Of Not Interfering". I did have to google this to get the exact thing but I do recall hearing about it on tv. The photographer explained this rule over footage of a snake being preyed on and eaten by another snake (he had taken photos of the snake before it got eaten. it was a lovely green snake with big red eyes).

I would’ve tried to save it. Looked like it could have been. That hawk will catch plenty more.

That bird is already dead. The hawk pierced the lung with its talons.
