Excellent tutorial. I'm a dialect, voiceover and acting coach but never had to teach Jamaican and was looking for a good study. So well done. Thanks. Patois is such a unique mix of African, Irish, Cockney, Scottish. My ancestors are English Bahaman so I have been to all the Caribbean Islands and loved my visits to Jamaica. I'm also originally from the South and would hear Jamaican spoken in areas like Key West Florida (where my Dad was born) and in my time in New Orleans and later Savannah, GA. I will study your videos diligently and send my students to this channel. Thanks.

Who is the targeted audience? I’m an American. Sounded like regular English to me in your video, closer to British English. So we understand the Mi Me My I thing. What I want to learn about Patois is conversational things that I really don’t understand at all. Like, I can hear English words but I have no idea what was said.
