***********Attention Please*************** Major Ramaswamy Parameshwaran PVC is not the gentlemen that Major Sapru was referring to. Because Major Parameshwaran(born on 13 September 1946) was too senior to be his course mate. I am sure that he was referring to this brave officer- Mahavir Chakra (MVC) Awardee: 2nd Lt. Rajeev Sandhu, MVC Gazette Notification: 32 Pres/90,26.1.90 Operation: 1987 Pawan Sri Lanka Date of Award: 19 Jul 1988 Citation: 19 July 1988, Second Lieutenant Rajeev Sandhu was leading a convoy of two vehicles from Madurang Keni Kulam to Mangani in Sri Lanka for collection of dry rations. On the way, his jeep was suddenly fired upon by militants with rockets and AK-47 and 7.62 rifles. He was seriously wounded and a direct hit of a rocket completely mutilated both his legs. Totally crippled and bleeding profusely, he tumbled out of the jeep with his 9 mm carbine and crawled to a fire position. Presuming that everyone in the vehicle had been killed, one of the militants came out of hiding and approached the jeep to pick up weapons and ammunition. But all was not yet for Second Lieutenant Sandhu. Despite the fact that his legs were totally smashed and his body was perforated with bullets, he lifted his carbine with blood soaked hands, sprayed the militant with bullets and killed him. The militant was later found to be Kumaran of the group led by Batticaloa Sector militant leader Karuna. Second Lieutenant Rajeev Sandhu blunted every effort of the militants to come anywhere near his fallen comrades or their weapons. He displayed conspicuous courage and died in keeping with the traditional martial spirit of the Indian Army.

Time and again what I see , people get fascinated about Special Forces. Most of the folks coming from non military background derive this fascination from movies, the gear they wear and the fact that they are Special in someway. If anyone wants to understand why SF are special, then understand specialization comes from their ability to deal with disruption. When anything and everything around in a operation gets disrupted and then they have to deal and overcome that disruption is what makes them special. If one pays attention into the training SF goes through it’s majorly about dealing with disruption. Starting with disruption of creature comforts to disruption of operational planning… you name it or blame it on Murphy’s law. Dealing with those disruption and along with improvising, then coming out of it successfully is what makes them special.

the story of the 'seasoned veteran' militant telling Major Sapru Sahab about how indians and particularly Hindus are a weaker race and were always meant to be slaves who are so obviously inferior to the Muslim Pathan folk is so unsettling and unfortunate. I belong to a NRI Muslim family background but currently identify as an agnostic. I've never heard anything like this being taught to us growing up but i think i can be open minded enough to realize that maybe it really does happen like that in other parts of the country and a large enough number of Muslim households across the border in Pakistan. My point is, there is no place in the world for that kind of supremacist ideology and it is absolutely wrong for any faction of society to instill that sort of mentality in their youth. No one is superior or inferior inherently and unprovoked violence will always be a sin, whether you're Hindu or Christian or Muslim or whatever other religion you could possibly be a part of. Spread brotherhood not hate. And judge people not by their religion but their character. JAI HIND 🇮🇳

Taunt Ji I am not sure from which part of India are you from? If you are from the mountains I understand your situation but whatever it is OTA is still there in Chennai. They had not shifted Officers Training academy from Chennai just because the weather is bad. If you keep cribbing about the weather and other external forces you will never be able to achieve what you want. Hope you understand that there are places in India where the temperature is below minus for 6 months of the year. So it's easy to crib and complain but to resiliently overcome it is difficult. Please don't crib and complain. Thanks Indu

Chennai weather is horrible I understand. How is Delhi weather during summer and how is the pollution in Delhi when there is stubble burning? Rajasthan also records high temperatures and in Assam there is heavy rain most of the time and the infrastructure is not too good in the north-east. If you want to complain please do so. Say me a place in India where everything is perfect. Please understand every place has its uniqueness. I just don't like someone talking ill about my city or my country for that matter. Hope you understand. Thanks Indu

@@induadithi9050 no one is cribbing and complaining, you don’t have the basic civic sense of accepting that different people have different views. I think it’s too difficult for you to comprehend that every human being is different and they have different views and perceptions about things. We can all see here who is too naive to even accept that someone can have a different view. I hope you are not spreading this toxicity in Japan.
