I prepared a specialty dessert, the famous dessert of Izmir, for you. I present you the snow-white dessert perfect with its silky cream!
Ingredients List:
4 eggs
1 cup of granulated sugar
1 cup +1 spoonful of flour
1 pack of vanilla
1 pack of baking powder
For the cream;
1 liter milk
3 tablespoons of flour
3 tablespoons of starch
1 cup of granulated sugar
125 g cream
1 packet of vanilla
100 g white chocolate
For the sauce (to moisten the cake):
3 cups of milk
1 teaspoon of liquid cream
Half a teacup of granulated sugar
For the topping:
Coconut
Pistachios
Preparation:
We froth the sugar and eggs at the top level of the mixer for 3 minutes. Add the flour, baking powder and vanilla. We mix it well. We pour the batter into a glass ware, on which we have laid greaseproof paper. We bake the cake in a preheated 170-degree oven on the conventional heating mode, one below the middle floor. Put the milk, sugar, flour, starch, and vanilla in the saucepan and mix well. After the cream is cooked, we add the chocolate. We leave our cream to cool. I lowered the cake to 160 degrees in 20 minutes. Add the liquid cream to the cream that has cooled down and whisk it with a mixer. Cut the cooled cake in half. We take one layer of the cake in the glass ware. Mix the milk, sugar and cream and pour half of it on the cake. Put the cream on the cake, spread it and make it real smooth. Then we sprinkle pistachios. We put our other layer/piece of cake on top. We wet the cake again with milk. I put aside some of the cream. Spread the cream on top of the cake. Then we sprinkle coconut, refrigerate and serve later. Enjoy!
