In this Physics video lecture in Hindi we explained the specific latent heat of fusion and vaporisation for class 11. Specific latent heat of a substance is the thermal energy released or absorbed per unit mass of that substance during its change of state. When the state change is from solid to liquid or vice versa the this latent heat is known as specific latent heat of fusion and for liquid to gas phase change or vice versa this latent heat is called specific latent heat of vaporisation.
When solid changes to liquid the process is known as melting. Change from liquid to solid is called fusion or freezing.
When liquid changes to gas the process is known as vaporisation. Change from gas to liquid is called condensation.
In previous video we talked about Change of State of Matter
