Shanouki, I saw that you tore out a number from a ticket and it reminded me that I just bought a stamp set a while ago from Which Craft Do You Do and they are in Australia as am I lol. It's called Documented and I love it. It all different reference numbers etc signatures, an address and then two stamp cancellation stamps for envelopes. It was great value and the store is very reasonable in pricing and shipping for Aussies. Just thought you might be interested is all. my friend and I are both doing your deck of card challenge we skype several times a week and she lives in the USA. We have been skyping and or emailing for over 10 years now. Michelle

Que bonita y creativa idea, me emcanta. Tengo algunas preguntas: cómo o con qué pegas las flores al acetato? Con que podría sustituir la cinta ase doble cara? Muchas gracias, hermosa 🙏😍💚

Thank you so much. The flowers are stickers, so they stick directly onto the laminate sheet or acetate. You could use a glue stick instead of double sided tape, that should hold it in place to sew. I hope this helps 💕

Hi I just requested to join the Facebook group. I wanted to say I have aquired so many helpful tips. But still I can't get motivated as to where to begin. I now found a stress free yet beautiful idea. I appreciate this,I love paper crafts,paints clay and junk journaling. But I needed something I could complete in a setting. I tend to start and not finish. I love the windows. One question, I heard you say it was laminated. But is it real flowers or a faux image? It looks real and if I don't have a laminater could I use something else? Any ideas. I press flowers so I'd love to use them! Thanks in advance for your time and inspiration!💕

Hi Melissa, she did seem to say it was a real flower that she'd put through a laminater (spelling?) Just thinking out loud - some food and toy packaging have clear windows, that can be removed from the packaging and saved for something like this. You could also use clear page protectors from the office supply store, or even save the window material from window envelopes, tho you wouldn't be able to make the same sized round shape with those. Something like vellum would give a softer, more muted look, but might still work.

I on the other hand heard that the flower is a transparent flower sticker that she ran thrugh the laminator. You certainly dont need a laminator, as sugggested before you can use the clear windows from packaging and just sandwhich your pressed flowers between them!

Hi Melissa, sorry for the late reply. The flowers I used were transparent stickers. You don't have to laminate, you could use acetate or cellophane. You could definitely use real pressed flower. That is why I like these altered playing cards, as the project is small and not overwhelming. Happy creating ❤️

Hello, is it necessary to cover it in the tissue first or is that just your textural preference? is it because the cards are too glossy otherwise?
@ShanoukiArt
3 жыл бұрын
Hi, that is correct, it is too glossy for any medium to adhere to. I use tissue paper as I find that works best for me, you could also apply a layer of clear gesso. Hope this helps :-)
