Her amazing voice gives me goosebumps to this day and I am almost 59 now. It was always my biggest dream to see her live in concert (and Elvis too). I know neither can happen, but a girl can dream! Congratulations on the award, everything you say is true, we just need to educate those who would have the Jews disappear. I am a Jewish, gay, leftist, American man. And even though I am American and a male, I feel like one of the “meek” of the world. I feel like a simple farmer content with a simple life who wishes for everyone the chance to plant a garden, live in peace and safety…to see their crops and family thrive. But I seem to be surrounded by bulldozers, poisoners, marauders, ravenous usurpers…the greedy and the power hungry. They have the power to stomp on my garden, burn my house, scatter my animals and kill my children. And they do it. They do it. I stand and shake my head in disbelief and despair. Where on this planet are the adults who can prevent this constant outrage? And, if it cannot be stopped, what are my options? To move away from the danger? But the danger is anywhere there are people. My own country is just inches away from becoming Fascist! The land that I grew up believing was a refuge for the broken and dispossessed of the world is now comparable to the oppressive regimes that once drove people to our shores. Do I turn to some kind of spirituality for comfort? Is religion the refuge of the powerless? Even dying will not end my plight. I am every one.

@renzo6490. Try to sometimes just look up. Look at the sky. Slow down. Feel the breeze. Realize that no one person ( not even our remarkable Miss Streisand) can heal this world by themselves. Time changes us. It's a medication. In our life's journey we find out the meaning of Faith. Be strong. Be aware of what's going on but don't let it pull you down into the quicksand. Life goes on & on & on and then one day we disappear, forever

She spoke about the things you have spoken about for many years, and today. She loved your music, she also sang, as do I. I am a gay man, just a few years older than your Son Jason. I always thought, wouldn't it have been wonderful , that you and my Mother were friends. She used to say to me, that peace is so very simple, it's a shame that man hasn't figured it out. Anyway, Congrats, and may we all in this world find peace and love.

I rarely agree with ANYONE 100% but with tears in my eyes, I listened to this compassionate, faith-filled, loving woman talk the truth. I totally lost it when she mentioned Anne Frank.....I'm a black woman but a cord is hit deep in my soul with any mention of Anne. At 30 I went to her hiding space in the attic. When I rounded the corner where Anne's bed was there were still newspaper clippings on her wall, of her heroes. I literally broke down and had to be carried out physically because I couldn't stop crying....still crying!!! Barbra hits the same nerve. Her words and deeds have touched my soul more now than ever. We gotta do better before history completely repeats itself. Congratulations Barbra Streisand, you make your Daddy proud. TRUST!
