You are really squeezing as much value as possible from Camtasia, Cristi. What has made you not switch to Premiere Pro yet?
@Graphicious
3 жыл бұрын
I have been using Premiere too, for many years. I am planning on making tutorials for that too but the space is a little crowded. I like Camtasia because it's easier to use and you achieve some things faster than in Premiere. Plus, it's better suited for educational content, tutorials, teaching, screen recording, all that. I don't believe tools should be exclusive - you use whatever is best for the project you are working on and if you can combine programs to achieve something, it's not a crime.

@@Graphicious I understand what you mean. I've been paying for Adobe Cloud for years now, but not really using it much. Camtasia seems to be my "go to" for the videos that I make, although certain things are a bit frustrating.

I used to edit some videos for KZitem in Premiere, when all they needed was a quick trim, cut, slice, export -- using the magnetic track in Camtasia does that even faster. Why complicate yourself when you can get away with something even faster? There's a tool for every job, and when the project requires it, I can use Premiere or whatever. But price-wise, Camtasia is cheaper in the long run and the learning curve for beginners is way smoother.

Interesting video. Is there a way to use real looking audio waves in the same way? Wave form like the waves in a Camtasia track. Currently I use a audio wave with my static photo in my KZitem videos. I place the audio wave in front of my photo. THANKS!!!!
@Graphicious

You can make some radial lines instead of circles in method 3, put them close together and when you apply the media matte, they look like waveform audio almost

camtasia should work in the "meeting" stuff because this would be a good selling point if you could make them work live. this can only be done after the meeting. correct?
@Graphicious
2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's not dynamic. Camtasia doesn't yet have any assets or effects that can be used to make visual elements react to sound.

@@Graphicious still, I have learned more from you than anyone. Especially with the working around stuff. Very inventive. Not many do this on KZitem FYI. I say this because I doubt you would surf all day looking at the work of others if your trying to make a buck.

Christi -- I have a vaguely related question on this. If I import a video that already has audio on it, but for a portion of the video I want to show something different (say, a graphic or a slide from a presentation), is there any way to do this without first separating the video from the audio? I.e. I would love to be able to just "hide" the video for a brief amount of time, while the audio is still playing and the other track with my presentation slide is visible for the viewer.
@Graphicious

You should be able to add the slide to a separate track, above the video track and it will play over it, while the audio is still heard.

I am using Camtasia on a Mac. It does not appear to let me change the animation like you did in the first part of your video. Am I missing something?
@Graphicious

Which part doesn't work? Making the initial object pulsate?
@rlhcfo1

@@Graphicious the initial motion works. It’s the fine tuning part. I also noticed this when I tried to mimic your video where an annotation was following a race car. My custom animation does not seem to stray from the original path. I can’t get those mid-stream shifts.

Vă admir mult, ce nu înţeleg este de ce vă pierdeţi energiile cu un program stupid şi complicat... L-aş distruge, dacă aş putea (nu ar fi singurul)
@Graphicious
