I feel like SpeedBeez is one of the few vendors, maybe the only, where you can have a “one-stop shop” experience for almost any revolver. Holsters, loaders, pouches-they make it all for an absurd amount of wheelies.

Got their system for my S&W 617. Insanely useful and it’s almost like I have eleven magazines for it because the block holds ten wheels plus the loader. Actually cheap for what you get.

Definitely a product for wheelie enjoyers. There's a big benefit to having one speedloader type for all your revolvers. Safariland comp's are available for super outdated models but not even L-frame 7 -shots, let alone the kimbers or rimfires. Speed beez will keep picking up their market share.

Saying "just don't drop your speed loader" is a lot like saying "just don't miss!" If something can go wrong, it will, and at the worst possible moment. This is especially true when you're getting shot at.
@ipbthunder

not really the same thing, if you're in a situation where you need to reload and you only have one mag or speed loader dropping it in most cases will get you shot. also this problem is almost none existent if you carry more than one loader.

In reference to the Speed Beez drop test, what if you used the speed loader as EDC and kept it in a fanny pack? I sometimes want to carry my revolver with gym shorts so a sling pack is my go to. The bag moves around, the rounds being easy to pop out seem like detriment to those that want to carry that way. It seems good enough for the range at least, but I rather just use moon clips at that point, much cheaper.

He’s wicked smart and an incredible gamer. Unfortunately he acted like he understands all aspects of firearms when clearly he doesn’t. Paul himself said he doesn’t know crap about IPSC or Three Gun especially with wheel guns but he is definitely a competitive shooter as well, just a different “game”. He’s also a military training instructor which is a different beast as well.

Hi. So I'm VERY new to revolvers. I recently took possession of my first, a S&W 686-3, and I'm absolutely in love with it. It will not be my last revolver. Anyway, I haven't any speed loaders yet, and that seems like the next logical step. I love shooting this thing at the range, but reloading is a bit slow when it is one by one. So I've looked into speedloaders, and to say I am overwhelmed with options is a bit of an understatement. I, quite literally, have no experience with speedloaders. I've never used one. Initially, I was set on Safariland Comp II's, but I've heard a lot about HKS, and Comp III's, Five Star, and now Speed Beez, and I genuinely just don't know which direction to go. They are all reviewed well, and they're all held in pretty high regard. If you were me, what would you do? Buy one of each? I (think) would prefer a non-twist mechanism, but to be totally honest, I don't really know. That's just what my intuition tells me. I don't know if it matters, but I'm a bigger guy with bigger hands. I don't know if manipulating some of these is more difficult for people with big mitts, but I thought I'd mention it all the same. Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you.

@@Gunday_Brunch Thank you, Sir. I appriceate your response. I confess my hang up has been largely due to "materials used" in manufacture. I have been on the fence with comp III's, and have almost bought them a few times now, but it seems every time I'm ready to purchase, something else strikes my eye. I think I'll go with a few of those. Thank you again.

Amazing for .22’s or a volume shooter. Expensive of course but if you get the loading block kit price it as if you are buying magazines and the price doesn’t seem so bad.

You mentioned a pouch for your Speed Beez loader; is it from Speed Beez or another manufacturer? I'm having trouble finding snap-close pouches that accommodate the large size of the the Speed Beez (in my case, for a GP100.)

You mentioned that you had a Speed Beez for your S&W 686. Doesn't S&W recommend moon clips rather than speedloaders? B.T.W... What do you think of moonclips?
@Gunday_Brunch

I like moonclips just fine for certain guns and certain applications. They work great for 45s, 10mm/40S&W, and 9mm, not so great for 38s and 357s.

When you refer to the pouch that you carry these in, are you referring to the single-piece kydex pouches that speed beez sell as well? I have no information online about them and I'm reluctant to drop forty bucks more on them with such little to go off of. Can they be carried IWB, and if so, does the footprint cause you any trouble? Anything I should be aware of?

I have one of their loaders and it's pretty nice, but I really don't like how delicate it is. The HKS loader doesn't bother me too bad, I'm left handed and have to swap to reload anyway, but if I'm not using heavy enough cartridges they don't drop free. I am strongly considering sending my cylinder to TK Custom to be machined for moon clips. How do you feel about moon clips in a defensive or shall we say modern fighting revolver?
@Gunday_Brunch

I like moon clips for sturdier gun, like full size 357s or 10mm. I don’t like them for LCRs and J-frames

They work slicker than butter. Ruger 7 shot GP100 here. Very tiny rub on the grip as I load. I use these at the range, as I can't find a pouch with a cover that secures over the top for the Speedbeez. My other use is in the thick woods/mountains, and I found some machined aluminum ones that work like the HKS. Speedbeez are quicker, though.
