Continuing from last week Day 24: 80 bpm (both Ex) Day 25: 90 bpm (both Ex) Day 26: 90 bpm, didn't have the time Day 27: 90 bpm, kinda clean. I’m struggling with playing fast and syncing both hands, anh tips? Day 28: I can get 90 bpm down in Ex 2, while Ex 1 is still tricky for me. Day 29: Still 90 bpm (Ex 1) and 100 bpm (Ex 2). Day 30: 90 bpm (Ex 1) and 100 bpm (Ex 2). Finished this program. Thank you Ozz for the exercises 🥰

Hi. I spent more than a week on the 1st and second. Got to 200 on week 1 and 170 on week 2 but steel a little dirty as i get to the fast bpms. Starting week 3 now but i like doing the week 1 and 2 routine just to see how fast i can do it. Jump to week 4 just to see what's waiting for me and i actually did it better than i thaught i would and better than i can do the week 3 routine. I think these are great workouts and very helpfull. Got me changing my picking technique and how i hold the pick. I have a question about using the wrist, i have big hands and i can reach all the strings without using the arm i just need to lift my palm on the lower e string to avoid to much palm mute. Do u think it's necessary to practice using the arm ?

Hi ! First thank you very much for all your content. I have a question because i am a bit stuck, i am almost done with week 3, i couldnt play everydays but tried being serious and spend some time on the exercice and also exercices i wrote myself based on the John petrucci's intro solo of Count of Tuscany thst i challenged myself to play. The problem is that, when i started, i feel my max speed was around 150/160, and after these 3 weeks, i "only" have reached 160 but with the change that my playing from 110 to 150 is i think much cleaner. But i feel stuck at ~160 (same with count of tuscany exercices where i repeat the two going up arpeggios of the solo, for which i get stuck at 80bpm (they are triple 16th) and the original song is 98bpm) because i cant make the pick escape movement to change string correclty at this speed. Is this normal ? Will it come with more practice or should i slow things and rethink my way of picking, that i think is not too wrong... should i more be stuck with synchinization, or fatifue rather than this string changing if the technique was good ? Thank you and have a nice day ! :)

Hey, In the first video, I advise you to watch my “How to Fix Your Picking Technique and How to Play Electric Guitar Properly” videos before starting. Did you do that? If you have done these steps and followed every instruction right in the videos you can jump to the 4th week the and speed will come🤘

@@OzzGuitar ok thank you ! :) I watched the videos back then but I guess maybe I just need not to rush too much, probably I don't realize I had a sloppy 150/160 before and a much cleaner now! I'll try week 4 this evening 😁

Any next episode on how to incorporate this technique to 3 notes per string scale?
You may find that sweeps and chromatic scales affect pick slant angle as well as force of picking and timing. Thanks for explanation of arm not heard this. A fun challenge is sweeps say four notes then four note scale break then sweep again. For those who are bored, flip the guitar over, fret with right hand and pick left handed. This will influence playing the other way too. Its humbling as you will start as a beginner but will progress fast. Only requires 5-10 min a day. Some players may find they progress more rapidly left handed as i did. Also helpful is using diff width picks. I like 0.88 mm. No heavy picks for me the pick bending a little gives my fretting hand time to keep up.
Wow example 1 is way easier for me. I can get example 2 to 110 but example 1 to 130

@@OzzGuitar yeah. I was improving a bit every week, but this one feels a bit different, as I am pretty slow and jumps are 20 bpm for a burst, so 80 feels great, 90 barely doable, and 100 just breaks me))) will try to start slower than 60 to get some momentum, maybe it helps)

@OzzGuitar Thanks for those lessons! At the end of the first week I was able to reach 140 bpm clean and push my speed to 150 bpm but sloppy. At the end of the second week my maximum speed was 120 bpm with a clean execution. At the end of third week I couldn't go any further than 100 bpm. Today is my first day of the fourth week and I'm at 80 bpm for both the excercises.

I did all three weeks diligently and my updates with speed are mentioned in all the other videos! Loved the workout! I was excited for the 4th week but hit a roadblock…..Diagnosed with what Dr is calling tendinopathy over my left thumb(fretting hand) Its difficult to grip the guitar without any pain. For anyone out there: Warmups are extremely important and too much tension is not good. I have stopped playing at all since 8 days. Any advice from any of my guitar mates is appreciated. Thank you Oz for this workout. Hoping to come out from this road block as soon as possible.
