Another fantastic video. If you do not know, Harald is freakin 70 years old and skis like he is still 20, Focus focus focus on his feet - the extreme tipping (starting with the little toe edge of his uphill ski,), and then the very strong foot pullback to pull his feet back under his hips. Awesome technique and amazing skiing!!

Thank you for the comments. I'll add post skiers can achieve the efficiency I use to ski with the correct techniques. I couldn't ski like this at 70 if I didn't continue to develop my skiing.

@ Steve Koschmann : You're right : that's just fantastic skiing ! I can see the ''extreme tipping'' you're talking about, but to be honnest I'm not sure being able to see where and when the ''very strong foot pullback'' happens. HH's skiing looks so smooth... I may look a bit ridiculous but I really wish it was very clear to me : please, could you tell us more about it ?

I continue to learn by watching closely your movements, even frame by frame! Happy skiing, Bill.

Why do I find these turns more desirable to watch and attempt myself than edge lock carving? Maybe it’s just more enjoyable. Like savoring the experience rather than rushing to the bottom of the hill.

Edge lock turns are limiting. Brushed carve turns are versatile and can be used everywhere on any snow or slope.
