I jut bought the 2nd edition yesterday and I am so excited to paint all the abominations. They have so many crevices and small bits. The washes look really good on these miniatures!

Yeah they made it very easy. Zombies are so forgiving you can’t really go wrong but there’s a lot of detail on them so I like the added help of the contrast paints just flowing into details for me :-D

Just got zombicide and I love to paint, but the number of minis had me intimidated! This looks fantastic, as does your tracksuit zombie. Really great inspiration for getting this massive box of zombies done without too much time spent but still looking good on the table. Thanks!

Excellent paint job and I’ll defo be coming back to this video for some inspiration when I do mine. With the limited time I’ve had since my pledge was delivered, I’ve removed the bulk of the mould lines from about 1/3 of the minis. Such an annoying task but at least they come prebuilt so some time has been saved there.

THAT IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! you have convinced me to try and paint it. Even though I have never painted any figure ever. Holy shit its on another level.

Thank you for your very kind words! Really happy to inspire you. I’d never held a brush in my life 5 years ago! If I can do it, anyone can do it. Hope you enjoy the hobby :) if you are starting with Zombicide we have mountains of tutorials and it’s a very forgiving game! Your plastic is going to look awesome!

Thanks man! I was actually disappointed because I couldn’t get a thumbnail to do it justice. It looks really nice in real life. So it’s lovely to hear you like how it looks! Really appreciate the comment. Thanks

Nice use of contrast mate. I'm a love hater of them too. They just seem a situational paint and look great sometimes but sometimes just look like a dirty paint job. I decided to go half n half with my zombicide. Traditional paints with some contrast.

Yeah, I’m always so torn. Sometimes they disappoint me. And other times I’m so surprised how good I can do with them (plus a bit of traditional painting on top). But I’m never disappointed with the time it takes! With so many zombies to paint I think it’s gonna help me fly through them.

a quick "cheat" I use when painting glass, base with a bright silver then hit it with a lite blue/sky blue glaze overtop

Thanks for the tip! I wasn’t far off that. I wonder if there’s any more glass in the rest of the models if there is, you’ll see me attempt your suggestion!!! Thanks again

Great job... can't wait to get my copy of this game to start painting it. I wonder though does Army Painter primers work well with contrast paints because I noticed the white primer from army painter is ok but not great with the contrast. I was thinking of using Uniform grey or skeleton bone primers. What are your thoughts? Maybe I should just get the grey seer and wraith bone citadel primers for contrast painting.

Check out the video I did on the hobos in batman. Benson painted them and I didn’t tell him but 2 of them are using Citadels Wraith Bone contrast primer and two were with Army Painter’s skeleton bone. He painted them all and never commented or noticed they were primed differently :-D and he is a fussy man!! You can see at the end spin they came out very slightly different but ultimately it worked fine IMHO

You didn’t miss it! Sorry I think I glossed over it really quick because I did a whole video just filming that bit :( it’s for Patreon at the moment, it’ll be for everyone in the future but I like to give early access as a perk on Patreon. Anyway to answer your question I tried out Green Stuff Worlds Coagulated Blood and Army Painter’s Glistening Blood.

I'm new to painting. Had a question. If I paint this one with the Zombicide Season 2 Paint Set, can I just use a wash to get to this? May not be as good, but it will be close to it, right? Thank you for your videos, helps a lot!
@WatchItPaintIt

Yep! You can just use normal paints and washes to tone down the recesses!

Maybe it's just me, but I just can't ignore mold lines. Especially when painting and dry brushing makes them stand out. Too bad they are such a pain to eliminate in folds, ect.

The mould lines on these models are in some weird places and a pain to remove. I have done my best to remove most of mines but still some there. For a game with over 200 minis and playing from 3 feet away I don't think they will be seen lol.
@WatchItPaintIt

They were real bad on this mini weren’t they!!!? Did you see one vanishes towards the end? I got so annoyed myself and couldn’t ignore it even though I had to repaint a section. I’m with Robbie, there’s a lot in painful positions to remove and ultimately once it’s not in my face being painted anymore I’ll barely ever see them (if at all).

Did you dilute contrast paintings with water or what else..?
@WatchItPaintIt

Nothing, straight from the pots! If I was going to dilute I’d use contrast medium
