Nice to meet you on KZitem. I've been inline skating as a hobby for about 20 years. I'm currently 42 years old and it's been a year since I learned speed skating properly. Not much has passed. I want to run on flat ground at 100 km/h. That's my dream. Health and. I am writing this because I saw your video while training my mind and body and thought it would be helpful. Have fun and have a good time

Whenever some local skater would brag about their speed on the streets, I'd always tell them to chill - "We're slow amateurs, real skaters are on the tracks". I'll have to think of a new argument now that the world champion is cruising the streets along with the mortals.

Love the vids! Could you make a quick video on high-tops (Ankle supports) vs.Speedskating boots? I notice you're rocking the high tops here and Speedskates in your previous NYC vids. I'm fine in short-track boots, but I can't make the transition from high tops to inline speedskates, even with the Rollerblade E2. No idea why - I have the ankle strength. I just feel locked in to proper speedskating form and I don't have the endurance to maintain it through a long skate or on rough / hilly terrain.

Hi! I'm really enjoying your videos. Could I ask you a question? I've been dying to buy the Powerslide HC Evo Pro, but I keep reading that they are really uncomfortable. A lot of people say that carbon boots are more uncomfortable in general (I've never tried them), and PS HC Evo Pro are specially uncomfortable. What's your opinion about them? Thanks a lot in advance!
@JoeyMantiaOfficial
17 күн бұрын
Thanks! I don't find them uncomfortable at all, but I'll be completely honest, coming from speed skating where your feet get absolutely destroyed from time to time, my bar is not very high, so maybe I'm a bad judge. Regardless, I've really enjoyed them, even for skates that last upwards of 2 hours I've had no issues. I like how responsive they are.

@DaniFCamargo The HC Evos are padded with foam, no problem. Bring a sports shoe sole for prolonged use. My HC Evo Pros date from 2018, the new models have apparently changed (a little). You have to give it a try... The comfort is not comparable to low race boots !

@@divac5410 Thanks for the answer! My current skates are PS Next, that's why I was asking about the difference between Evo (carbon) and liners. I like my Next, but after trying different methods for months, I haven't been able to make them fit my feet perfectly, specially my left foot's inner ankle bone.
@divac5410

@@DaniFCamargo I have the same problem at the malleolus, same foot, inside. Regardless of the inline skates, my older FR Skates FR1 or the HC Evo Pro, even with a MyFit Ankle Protector (neoprene). The only relief is to cure with an anti-contusion balm with calendua, wrapped with cling film. Or maybe try with bootfitter. There is no inline skates in which you do not feel pain after a long distance or after riding hard. Have Fun, stay safe 🤙

@@jokerimmortal No creo, porque en más de una ocasión le pasó. Pero suponiendo que no es actuado, puede que sea por lo corto del frame.
