Ok cool video ! This taught me a lot , I didn’t know the blower comes off that easy. U see so many commercial style units like this one all caked up . Pretty sure after a few times doing this it’s s piece of cake .

That's a neat kit and you knew what you were doing and worked efficiently - even so that's got to be an expensive job for the property owner. I just bought a house with an older Mitsubishi unit and I had to fully disassemble it, removing the motor, to get the fan out. So basically a half day to get it clean and put back together. Seeing this video as probably best case is the final bit of information to make me realize that ductless units are not for me.

Love that coil washer, I have used it many times. It peeled cooking grease off a Evaporator with ease. Great video don’t forget your lock out tag out you don’t want someone coming up and turning the unit on. Great job !!!!!!!!

fespinoza287 I have had it a while. Our air quality department has two and they are holding up fine. It’s made well. Check the warranty you may have a trial period that you can return it in. There are many variables to your friends statement. I try new things on my own but do respect others opinion.

Excellent cleaning job. Just one thing, I noticed you didn't protect the ceiling with plastic. I'm sure the ceiling tiles took a hit from all that pressurized solvent being sprayed around.

I was looking for tips on that very same thing. With the pressure spraying, it will spray upwards as well. I bought one of these and tested it, the first time I managed to get the wall above the unit pretty wet...

Seal the hole where your pipes go through the wall, the negative pressure inside the unit looks like it's pulling unfiltered air through that hole from the wall cavity or outside if it not sealed there, should reduce this build up greatly. You can seal the inside with the cover off

that is why its cheaper to get a window shaker than this minisplit, when it dirty on window shaker u just spray water and wont cost u anything , with mini u have to call tech and time cost more than buying another window shaker. Ill pass on the mini.

The AC environment is humid, hot, and spreads water all over the place, all are a recipe for mold, bacteria, dust, dirt, rust, just like a bathroom, but unlike the bathroom, you don't have direct access, this requires time and effort every few months (preferably every month), you would be the one at the end who has the most efficient and cleanest air of all the people you know, this also makes you healthier. The filters only prevent the coil from getting dirty, they did their job quite well actually
