To the people who think speedrunning doesn’t take patience… you’re right, if you only do a single run and be done with it. Trying to get a somewhat competitive time? Unless you’re running an obscure game category or are already well-practiced with the run itself, you will need great patience to improve your time gradually. Without patience, you’ll probably give up after choking a run or two near the end. A speedrun does not necessarily require patience, but true speedrunners will have enough patience to improve their runs until they are satisfied.

9:23 That's two misses, assuming you got the "hold A and B" input. If not, three. 9:34 That's a "barely". Not sure how much weight it is on your score loss. It still ends a "Go for a Perfect" though 9:51 That's a miss and a barely 10:14 These are barely's 11:00 That's two misses

I’ve had experiences where I will sight read or play a piece of music for the first time and play almost perfect, but then the next few times when I run it through I will make more mistakes. Practice makes performance (or great content) - what great ambition and motivation to conquer yet another speedrun challenge!

Dude that heartrate thing is just all rhythm games. Coming from a rhythm game player (osu!) when you're on an insane run and the map is like 5 minutes long, your heartrate reaches new heights. If anyone who doesn't know wants an example look up "BTMC Raise My Sword" for a dude who hit 200 bpm on his heartrate after an insane play.

this happened to me while i was trying to full combo somethin in a call with my friends and i had the “1 hour of silence occasionally broken by the vine boom sound effect” video playing along with them. the anxious anticipation of wondering if/when it would play while trying to stay focused in an already distracting environment had me sweatin

yeah, it's that point where I'd be in mute or like, "dude, can I get you like, water and a towel to help" over chat, at that point. sure, there's no way to get that done over the internet... but it's the thought that counts. I think.

Having finally gotten into the Rhythm Heaven series within the last year, it's really nice to see a youtuber I enjoy watching doing a video on it! (and it hitting #1 trending no less) Dear God though, I felt that secondhand stress, especially with Remix 10, lmao.

I remember speed running a game that I used to be good at, my anxiety was beyond the point of shaking. Halfway through, I just stopped, got some water, and sat down for 5 minutes. I felt so much better afterwards. (I didn’t actually want to get within a certain place, I just wanted to see how good I could do compared to other people)

Time to do a Darksouls speed run, that would totally be stress free! Seriously though good job! If it had been be I probably would have died of a heart attack. I use to be really good at rythem based games but somewhere down the line I just had a switch flip and now I just suck at them, good job for sticking with it and placing 2nd! =)

The fact that this was an All Medals Rhythm Heaven Fever speedrun and Monkey Watch was not brought up once astounds me. Jaiden really is just naturally gifted when it comes to rhythm.
