Very interesting seeing the speedway scooters making a return. I wish they had a new 2021 speedway scooter with horn, great lights and just a bunch of features like the emove cruiser which is a speedway descendant. Mini motors are probably usa’s oldest and most experienced PEV company

I’ve had my Leger for over 2 years now for random weekend riding. I attached a seat to mine with a small dog carrier. It’s been holding up great. However, I have been having a lot of flat tires in my rear wheel. I weigh 160 lb so that shouldn’t be an issue. Changing the tube is kind of a pain. Takes me over an hour for that repair. I’ve only found the correct size tubes on the MiniMotor website and they cost $15 per tube and shipping is over $10 for some reason. Plus, you need a special L-shaped valve adapter to fill the tire with air, making it kind of a complicated process to perfect getting the right tire pressure with a bicycle pump. Either way, I should not be getting this many rear flat tires as frequent as I do. I have a theory, that the brushless motor in the rear hub heats up and weakens the tube causing leaks. Bad design. Meanwhile, I continue to feed my rear wheel tubes. If anyone has a recommendation to this problem, I’d appreciate the feedback. Thank you.

Wow @Mitch Henson , that's very frustrating....so a few things #1 what does mini-motors say? and if they're less than helpful perhaps reach out to Voro Motors? They've been very responsive with me. #2 I had a similar issue with my Zero 9 but attributed it to my size being 100lbs heavier than you. #3 I would look at going with a solid rear tire for sure...there must be one and it's going to give you so much more peace of mind. (sometimes called a honeycomb tire) Hope this helps and if others have ideas on what to do let us know ;) Cheers Tim

@@TimsElectric I live in LA and purchased my Leger in DTLA at their mini motors location. I purchased the Leger with a 1 year guarantee to cover any repairs. #1 I tried to revisit their downtown location but no one was ever there. Given, this was shortly after the Pandemic began. Calling them, they could only suggest ordering spare tubes from their website and encouraged me to install it. They're lucky I am handy enough to figure how to install that tube and figure out how to reassemble the rear wheel system in the process. Today, I contacted Voro via their website. Their response was quick but they do not have any Minimotor parts in stock. #3 I've done searches on solid rear tires (honeycomb tires) but there does not seem to be any in the odd dimensions that the Leger requires. I would love for there to be a solid honeycomb alternative, because that is the answer to the issue. I appreciate your response and your suggestions. I enjoyed watching your videos on the Leger. The Leger has performed well, other than the rear inner tube issue. I sort of appreciate being forced to learn how to do maintenance on the thing. But, a common consumer does not have that luxury.

@@musikgoat Thanks for the slime and armor-dilloz suggestions. I’ll consider it. I have bought tube protector liner made by slime. I have not tried it yet. Getting it in there for the right fit may be tricky. I figure it’s an insulation barrier between the tube and the heat source.

Hi Tim! I really love all your reviews and just subscribed to your channel. I know it's only a year later, but scooter tech moves quickly, would you still recommend getting this escooter (Speedway Leger Pro) in 2022? Do you know if they have a new model set to be released in this year. How would you compare this one to the Emove Cruiser (which is waterproof but about 10lbs heavier). Personally i think escooters should be lighter weight because they are designed for portability, so many of the 60+ lbs scooters turn me off because of weight and the ability to carry them up and down stairs etc. Anyway, when you get a moment can you let me know your thoughts . Also, one last thing...what would be your favorite commuter scooter in the class of the Speedway Leger Pro if it isn't your favorite still today

@Ryan Wurmser Awesome to hear from you :) Simple answer is yes I still love the leger but if it's any consolation I'm in the process of saving up for an Emove Cruiser. Where I live the extra safety of the long range and IP rating as you mentioned would give me some peace of mind :) Right now what I do is have two or three scooters. My go to is a Uscooter GT Sport for short hops Medium hops the Hiboy S2 Max Longer hops the Varla Eagle One Insane fun...the Wolf King GT Pro. Too much fun here :) Fabulous questions :) P.S. Warning Shameless plug...if you do order from Voro do use my link as they kindly sent me a scooter recently to review :) www.voromotors.com/?ref=timselectric They even have a coupon code $50 off any new electric scooter from the EMOVE and Kaabo brands. Hi Ryan, it depends on her needs and distance required. My wife has a much smaller scooter (Booster V) and loves it as we live in the city and she grabs it for short trips around the city almost daily at present. Even for some cruising in the evening like last night, she picked it...I've reviewed it too on my channel...but if I had to pick I'd probably go with the smaller Leger Pro ...but the Cruiser would be good too...it depends on whether or not she needs to lift it..if you're just riding into a garage and charging it there then it doesn't matter :)
