Really enjoy your videos. They have really helped me with my casting. I still have a long ways to go.🤣🤣

Hi Tim, thanks for instructions, they are very helpful. I have a respectful request, when you will have time and mood: You have a lot of rods with different action (and groped even more) :) For each rod action there are nuances in casting. Please make a comparison video with rods with different action and similar length. (fast and full flex for ex.) I think it will help many people improve their technique if they visualize the difference in casting. And if you can’t sign - say which lines you use for which rod - at least please tell us the length of the head and the weight. For beginners, it is a huge and expensive problem to choose the right one :) Thank you very much for your work

Thanks for the instruction & thanks for sharing! Going to start calling you Coach! Hope you got some good fishing time this past season! I got a box full of intruders that need to be baptized! Wanted to practice my Skagit casting, but another weekend of 20-30 MPH winds :(

hi tim, could you do a video about a minimal force type of style, I know there's people that like to apply a nice amount of force or acceleration so that it gets a powerful turnover, but I find that having the control to put just enough force to get a turnover a really beautiful thing and that's what I try to do all the time, I see to much overpowering on the river, a video on that subject would be interesting, thanks and I love your videos, they are awesome!

Thanks for this love your work. You said you had about a 20' mono leader on your line. No tip of any sort? I thought we always needed a tip?

That is correct but cutting it down a bit and adding a few feet of tippet works well too!

Very good instruction. Seems like lifting before the throw makes the rod drift perpendicular by design.

I've never been able to get the pause to work for me. Seems like it should be a continuous smooth motion.

Yup! Do what works best for you regardless of what me or anyone else says!👊

Eventually I'll find a cast that works for me. More practice will help me figure it out.

If your sweep is powerful it Can take a bit of time before the weight of the line loads up the rod fully. If not you can initiate the throw much sooner.

@matstaley…when you get the basics of a cast understood and practiced…every cast can work for you regardless of the line..every time you change a line…you will have to learn to cast that line for that specific rod…it’s a lot of practicing but totally worth it
