Pumice is a wonderful medium for growing indoor plants, including orchids. In this video, I take you through my process of transitioning a plant into a semi-hydro pumice set up.

📒 SHOW NOTES📒
Pumice is a natural unprocessed volcanic rock known for having properties similar to Leca. It absorbs moisture, wicking it up through the pot, adds drainage and provides aeration around the roots of your plants. It can be used as an amendment, or on its own.
In this video, I am repotting my baby Phragmipedium besseae into pumice. This is a semi-hydro set up, designed to enable the plant's roots to remain moist for longer than in other set ups.

❓Question of the Day: Do you use semi-hydro set ups? If so, what substrate are you using and why?
