Wow, that was just the best 15 mins ive watched in the last 3 yrs learning. So much valid/ important information. These last 3 days on you site Ricky have been great, I didnt think I would find anything better than your circle of 3rds lesson and then this. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

So last week I at a birthday party a 12 year old who really wants to learn how to play asked me if I may only name 1 youtube guitar teacher he should chose to learn from, who would it be. I have to admit when I started playing 10 years ago at the age of 50 I pretty much only focussed on Justin and Marty and later also Carl Brown. Worked fine for me as I picked up playing really fast to the point I started my own Santana tribute band almost 6 years ago. I dont know how long Ricky has been teaching on KZitem but I just discovered him about half a year ago and I must say, without hesitation I told the youngster, to me, Ricky is BY FAR the best one to follow if you were only to pick one. Each lesson is surprisingly easy and fun to follow and understand. No nonsense and a very strong connection to what's essential for beginners. Never boring....even the music theory lessons. Wish I had discovered him 10 years ago.

Ricky...what is very interesting is how this lesson ties together the CAGED and “Every Good Band Deserves Fans And Cash” lessons you provided. Utilizing the scales and Understanding these lessons, and several others you’ve provided, helps to see how I can develop chords anywhere on the fretboard. Absolutely fantastic...thank you!

That's the role of a teacher right there folks. I know pretty much all of the "basic" chords in that first 3 fret range, but being shown the map, like that, just made such obvious sense once Ricky showed it. Thanks Ricky, as always 👍 p.s. love the quality of this production too mate, really well put together.

I like to pluck 2 or 3 strings when doing the pull-off or hammer-on and to drone-sing a note (often root) to practice backing vocals especially in chorus sections. Often just two fretted notes are enough (specially if you're with other insts or singers), way easier to change quickly and forgiving of mistakes.

It is! It’s very low and super easy to play! It’s a wonderful guitar despite how many battles it’s had with furniture and the time I killed it in front of my guitar class by accidentally kicking it.
