Being Norwegian I’m unfamiliar with the rusk cookie, but it’s fun to see how kveik really have taken off over there in US. Also, great video as always.

Hi Steve. Love the video. I am also Norwegian, curious to know where in Norway your family is from.

I have never used fruit additives in my beer. I want to try, however, I am a little scared to do so. This ale sounds great and I may try it out.

There are multiple ways to add fruit. You can add it last 10min of boil. 2. soak fruit in vodka and add in primary. 3. after first week of fermentation, make a chunky puree of fruit, heat it up in a pan to kill anything, let it cool, put in a bag and put into your fermentor.

Thanks for this guys. I have to keep wheat beers on tap for my wife so I'm always looking for interesting things. What would the grain bill look like for an all grain recipe?
@basicbrewing

The recipe, along with all grain variation, is here on Steve's blog: stevesbrewshop.com/pages/beer-blog

Sounds delicious. I reckon rose syrup would be nice in this too. Sorta like a gulab jamen beer. I take it you used the cardamom pods?

What if my oven only has "stun" and "kill?" Btw... I have encountered rusk in UK sausage making methods. B. powder leavened dense bread akin to biscotti. No spices though. Ground and used to fill, hold moisture/fat.

I'm not finding the Blood Orange Swirl for sale anywhere except the Amoretti website and the shipping is a whopping $21. Any ideas on where to purchase the swirl version?

Were the coriander and cardamom crushed or used whole?

Always entertaining. I've only used flavor extract once (apricot) and it was not pleasant, think I went a little too heavy with it. Had an artificial taste.

I haven't. I did taste a blueberry beer at Rebel Kettle in Little Rock recently that was served on nitro. Very creamsicle-like. - James

Only one Charo… OMG, you guys are old. Seriously though, what is the equivalent to the 4oz blood orange extract to juice ?
@basicbrewing

Methuselah's got nothing on us. :-) Don't know about extract to juice, but Steve says: "You could get the orange flavoring into the beer with regular puree, orange zest, or dried sweet orange peel. Of course, the orange character would be different in each beer, but certainly still good." - James
