Pro tip: before adding your onion powder, add 2 table spoons of your liquid mixture to the powder, stir till dissolved into a paste form then add it to the liquid mixture..... this avoids the clumps

I went with an older man for many years that used to make his own venison jerky from the deer he hunted, it was the best.

May sound odd but for stuff that like that try sifting it. When I was taking all bouillon out of papers and crushing them i had to sift it to get rid of lumps that did not break up.

It looks delicious! I've made beef jerky, but not chicken. I would love the one you just made, but my husband and son would gravitate more to the sweet one, so yes, I'd love to see that one, too. I just put 2 family packs of chicken in the freezer earlier today. I don't want to take it out to make this, so it looks like I'll be making a run to the grocery store tomorrow...lol. Thanks, Linda!

okay I think this is the recipe: 2 TBL onion powder 1st, Add a few drops of the 1\3 C Brags to make paste then add rest so no Clumping, then mix in 8oz Sriracha with garlic add water to empty 8 oz jar and pour in Mix all ingredients. (( I use pureed onions and garlic no powder also adding brown sugar or maple syrup to balance the heat for us) To make. Peppered Teriyaki is omitting the Srirachi adding cracked black pepper to chicken on the tray press into meat...adding the sugar makes Teriyaki

Looks so good, Linda! Because your Excalibur goes to 165’, you don’t need the oven heating afterwards, such as the Harvest instruction book says? Thanks for your work.

5:55 I noticed you said that you don't make very much because "It is just Me"... does that mean your husband doesn't like eating the chicken jerky? Do you still make it for the dogs? The plain chicken jerky? I'm very new to your channel... I have only seen a few of your Beef Jerky videos, the one you made a lot of Beef Jerky for your husband when they went hunting... Thank you so much for sharing this great video.

I make beef and deer jerky often. I've never tried chicken. I found an old bag of breasts in the back of the freezer with a bit of freezer burn. Do you think it would be OK for this application or should I just fix it for the dogs?

WOW! That looks like it's dried a bit too much. Jerky should not break when bent. It definitely shouldn't be crunchy. I could hear how crunchy it was when you were chewing it. You should research and try making Biltong. It's WAY better than jerky. I still make jerky, but ever since my friend from South Africa told me about it after she tried my Bloody Mary jerky and taught me how to make it. I make Biltong 5:1 over jerky. I have seen that Biltong can be made with chicken. However it's traditionally made with beef, venison or other hooved game animals from Africa. I make it with beef and venison. Have yet to try making it with pork. And it can be done because Biltong is basically a hung dry cured meat. And I dry cure pork loins all the time(Italian Lonzino)along with dry cured Italian sausages(soppressata,100% pork).

I know my beef and my deer jerky doesn't last more than a day. DON"T take it to work! You will leave empty handed! I was not aware you could do "bird" jerky. Everyone told me it dries out too much.
