If he cared about Georgia Meloni he would have resigned immediately instead of a month's time.

I can understand why TOI might post this as a type of ‘moral lesson’ of politics, and yes this story is of course a scandal of sorts, I don’t deny this, nor attempt to deflect otherwise. However, just as a counter point in observing the mood of the era; Orwell predicted, in 1984, that dystopian societies would become a hyper prudish bore fest (marked with the complete opposite, as shadow, which I will come to later) and indeed breaking through this was one of the key ways which humans saw through the New World Order Society in his seminal book on the topic. Think of it like this; the sometimes sensible, sometimes bawdy spirit of normal and proletarian Western culture, mixed with the general refinery and elevation of other cultural elements, was always based on a high level of instinct and social instinct and skill. Just as you would never jump into any old part of a river, looking for a nice place to swim, in case you land on a rock, it was never the case, in the game of human interaction, that you could simply approach a woman (or man) and say ‘I like those lovely pair of coconuts’ (and the equivalent to a man, though this is not to say you could never never say this under certain extenuating semiotics, as you will see based on the following commentary). It was always, this interaction, about the subtle coup, flèche, parry, remiss and riposte of gesture and energy which gave rise to so much great connectivity between humans and resultant drama and comedy in the artistic sphere (now all but lost to woke culture). In other words, when you demote something which is, by nature, instinctual and subtle (such as communicating with another, or finding a partner or the frisson therein) to something excessively social contractarian, where you are wondering and mentally processing a series of highly convoluted mental buzzwords ‘did I do or say the CORRECT thing or make the CORRECT movement here and there’, then you miss nearly every element of the semiology and ‘spirit’ of human interaction (even in those relationships where various subtle or overt ‘contracts’ exist). What you will notice is that these woke style eras come around here and there, repeating themselves on this or that timeline, because we have that triune brain, so we can easily by manipulated out of our neocortex by whosever wishes to control us; we can be manipulated out of that part of us which understands complex and intuitive things in life, into our more robotic survivalist brains. I didn’t want to leave this on a negative light, but obviously I’m not saying that journalists can’t report things in their usual way; as scandal, as sensation, as headline grabber, as terse lesson to the masses, or what have you, as befits their rudimentary training; of course there may or not be at least some recourse for this lest we fall into another type of nihilism (I couldn’t care less what journalists think overall though such is the mediocrity of their thinking). However, now and then, or better still, often, it’s good to break with the tradition of your journalism school, which was headed by a Nephilimic programme coordinator, with near certainty, and try to think in the broader sense, bringing you closer to the scribes and bards and people who you may actually have admired at one point in your lives. It is also worth noting that when your society becomes a bore fest, you see that there actually exists a far larger underground or proverbial shadow realm (literally mirroring Jung’s idea of the unconscious shadow) of particular behaviours which follows the general rule of ‘when I push a ballon down, the air escapes sideway’ and the idea of ‘the unreal person is the real hypocrite’. This generation of stay at homes and social distancers are the ones who are on Only Fans bearing all and the principle at work isn’t hard to see. In those eras when we had genuine, fun human interaction you didn’t have so much the need to go home and snap your rear end for virtual freinds, why would you? In summary, I am merely pointing out how dystopian eras have this charmless completely contractarian way of viewing how human interaction works, losing the counterbalance or even the crescendo, as Orwell saw it, and this infects all and sundry at the same time (since we all share the same triune brain). It should also be noted that a real person living a real life does not answer to a journalist (largely a nobody and a non entity in their current form though this doesn’t mean that I disrespect the notion of a journalist, in potential archetypal craft form) but to god alone.

He did the right thing to resign. There is no need for any media hue and cry.

This video does not show reality. It is based mainly on data provided by the government apparatus. The young woman simply responded blow for blow to the statements of the minister and his staff, showing their erroneousness.
