My hair grows in a similar way. I've often compared my own hair to Tim Burton's, because of how unwieldy it gets when I'm not paying attention. I'm surprised you didn't comment on the Duel cover art. I have that same Blu-Ray and I find that cover such an odd bit of Photoshop. I think part of the reason "Jaws" did so well was because Universal really went all out with the marketing. They made sure everyone knew of its existence, that the poster art was everywhere, etc. Also helped that the book was an enormous success when it was released the year before. I'm with you on "War of the Worlds." I can't think of another movie that so accurately portrays the paranoia many were feeling post September 11th. And with the current world events, it's sort of become relevant again. People often think of Spielberg as a sentimental filmmaker, but he's shown he can capture the darker side of society when the story calls for it. Tintin and War Horse being released so close together was such a wonderful Christmas treat that year. Was amazing getting to see two new Spielberg releases in the span of a few weeks. I've seen "Bridge of Spies" called boring and I completely disagree with that. I think it did such a good job of depicting that time period and Spielberg brought a great old-school sensibility to the way he told that story. Sorry for the long comment. Seeing anyone talk about Spielberg gets me all jazzed up. As for the animated films in your collection, you could go by studio (like a video on the Walt Disney Animation titles, a video on the Pixar titles, a video on Blue Sky titles, etc.).

Thanks for the Jaws incite, just seems like people delve into the filmmaking aspects a lot, which is good, but it’s so long ago I’m not sure people remember WHY it was successful, or why that a book even exists. It does help that the poster is one of the best ever made. The Duel artwork went over my head, but it seems like they were aiming for the Fast & Furious crowd with that one, which...for a car movie, I don’t think that fanbase would be disappointed, but it sure makes the movie look like it was made in 2001, not 1971.

“I think a lot of people were prepared to hate this movie. I don’t think it’s fair to go into a movie like that.” Thank you.

Amazing collection. Spielberg is such a legendary director. He always was a visionary and current cinema is heavily influenced by Steven.

Also Kingdom of the Crystal skull feels like The prequel Which no one really liked at the time aside for revenge of the Sith because they had this weird modern feeling and weird CGI which is weird because industrial light and Magic dirty effects Crystal skull and the prequel’s even though they were doing much better CJ don’t know why I just guess they were just trying to make CGI some of it looks good Some of it looks bad it’s a mixed bag as it comes to CGI for does weird modern George Lucas revival franchise movies
