Just awesome. I've just re-watched his movie (Shine), that I watched many, many years ago, and found out that David was real.

There is such humbleness in him that he plays like an angel and then he gets up and salutes like a little child. Unique

I can’t understand why critics refer to his playing as idiosyncratic... this is some of the most outstandingly provocative phrasing. Helfgott really is the master of communication.

Wonderful as everything the hands of the magnificent David Helfgott touch. I love your music and even more your person, pure soul that always moves me. Would anyone know what musical pieces or composers he is playing?

I know at the start he plays some of Edvard Grieg's 'Lyric Pieces'. You should listen to them, really beautiful

@@VincentBuonora @ellenbacklin some are Hungarian Rhapsody no.6, Beethoven's Apassionata, Rachmaninoff Prelude in G# Minor. The encore has Gershwin's American in Paris and Flight of the Bumblebee.

A fantastic pianist...plays with such feeling..the only criticism I'd have is the programme...a little boring!
