I'm so proud that I worked on that movie on the studio end. It remains an American masterpiece. Roger Ebert's championing of the film was right on--especially his question about how we will ever learn to love one another.

Do the right thing gave birth to so many goats is crazy, n it single handedly changed the film industry for black ppl n thats why Spike is one of the icons that made me proud to be from Brooklyn

Siskel and ebert were so iconic for pop culture, one of the many reasons . It's a shame this gen don't know how well known they were.

I miss Roger Ebert. Grew up watching Siskel and Ebert. Spike tempered his comments on the assholes, from back in the day, who suggested any black directed/focused movie, not starting Eddie Murphy was dangerous.

Sister and Ebert were the only reviews I would trust. They were objective and reviewed the film and actors. The "critics" now take everything personal and don't know how to review a film objectively. Don't even know how to write..

I'm not american and I don't know shit about Roger Ebert, but I thank Spike Lee and him for seeing Do The Right Thing, and indirectly seeing La Haine too because of it. No wonder a lot of people wanted to suppress this movie, they'd rather have people watch mindless comedies than important movies like this.

The title of this is very misleading. He barely even mentions Roger Ebert.

Did Roger support him removing thirty minutes from his 9/11 documentary when his corporate masters told him to .., or else?

You've named yourself after a white supremacist child groomer, so you have nothing to say.
