Spike lee, is my favorite filmmaker of all. Ive been to his HOUSE, I've been to his Studio down in Brooklyn, and the man never ceases to amaze me. There was a point in time I had anger and misconceptions of him but no. He talked about Stevie being a National Treasure, well he himself is a national treasure. I wish I had the opportunity to attend NYU and learn from him. If one should be so lucky.

I love both stories cause I love both MJ and Prince. Absolute geniuses, each in their own way. Both unearthly talented. Not surprising that there was a healthy competition between them cause there was no one on their level to compete with. Mike what a singer, dancer, performer with angelic soul. Prince was absolute musical genius; I'd dare to say the greatest musical genius of all time. Man played 30 instruments (mastering every single one of them), his vocal range was absolutely insaane, out of this world, he danced, jumped, did spins etc (plus on high heels!! I don't know how the hell he managed that for hours) and plus meanwhile ,,his microphone was ON! :-D'' during his concerts, man was absolutely unbelievable!! He ate, drunk, breathed music; he wasn't musician, he was the music embodied in one man. I love to hear both those stories and I have no doubt that both Mike and Prince shine bright because Legends cannot die!! 💙🌟💜🌟

Actually I think you'd have to call Charles Stepney the "architect," certainly of Minnie Riperton's early career. I think it was he who also suggested Maurice White sign Deniece Williams. His production and arrangement were certainly the foundation of the early EW&F, and Williams's and Riperton's first solo recordings as well as the Emotion's "Flowers" recording. I say this with great respect for Maurice White's musical ability.

I will always speak for George Clinton Bootsy Parliament Funkadelic influence on music, if you never danced to a P-FUNK jam you are not black George Clinton with Kendrick Lamar in 2014 won a Grammy for the hit song at 75 years old ain't that funkin kind of hard on you, but George Clinton may not have a great voice, but 1 thing George Clinton Bootsy can do is work with all their band members and make black people dance, with probably the greatest song of all-time flashlight and then when you think that George Clinton has lost his touch, Micheal Jackson had the #1 hit 8 WK, along come George Clinton who finally used his name something that he said he would never do to the band, the atomic dog knock Micheal Jackson from number#1 hit, it's was fitting that it was George Clinton, and he still gets no respect, George Clinton Bootsy are icon without great looks & voice's but they have put a stamp on black popular music forever, and George Clinton retirement at the music he started in 1955 I was born in 1958 WOW ! Like MC hammer, you can't touch that. Give George Clinton Bootsy Parliament Funkadelic the credits theses singers & musicians deserves, people taught George Clinton was crazy because he did drugs, they all did drugs at some point in their careers, and even many are dead, and you would think George Clinton who did more crazier drugs than all would be the 1 who would be dead, think about all who are dead or have died, you talk about stood the test of time, George Clinton have lived to tell his life story. This is a book about the greatest of the hateest, keep on Funkadelicing not thing can stop George Clinton Bootsy Parliament Funkadelic now ! One nation under a groove P-FUNK all-stars y'all ! No questions !

That they both became Jehovah's Witnesses was odd given Princes competing nature. Michael left because of Thriller before Prince was baptized though. I don't know why they would speak as MJ wrote society and declared he didn't want to be a Witness anymore.
@andrewforte3852
5 жыл бұрын
When you disassociate oneself is tantamount to being disfellowshipped, but Prince always took his faith as intensely as his music never wasting an opportunity to share the Kingdom message, when Michael Jackson was a devout Jehovah's Witness he had to disguise himself before going door to door, but Michael Jackson at the time was equally as serious in beliefs.
@drindrin4530

They were close friends because Michael never stopped being a Jehovah's Witness. He publicly recanted because he was the face of the witnesses and did not want to tarnish the organization's reputation
