Between the late 6th and early 3rd centuries BCE, Spina (Emilia-Romagna, Italy) stood as the paramount Etruscan port on the Adriatic and one of the most influential in the entire pre-Roman Mediterranean. Initiated with the reclamation works in the Trebba Valley and later the excavations in Valle Pega, Spina resurfaced within a few decades. The rediscovery unveiled over four thousand mostly intact burials and one of the world's most significant collections of Attic-imported ceramics.
