The atmosphere and ambience are great. Only thing we may need to fix or at least wait for improvements is the issue of delays, it breaks inmersion. Other than that, it is awesome and may give space to people to ask questions and debate without any limitations, fears, anxieties. Just, awesome.

@Mlai00
Жыл бұрын
Since AIs are meant to simulate reality, you'll eventually model your behavior according to how you already do so in reality. Right now you get the urge to curse at NPCs because there's no consequences. Once AI NPCs start looking down on you and isolating you because you're acting like a spoiled child, you'll fix your behavior in order not to be ostracized by society. You may think "But I want to see realistic outrage and condemnation from NPCs, it'll be cool." The thing is, it's going to feel so real you won't want to continue it.
@Putri-nl2gg
Жыл бұрын
@@Mlai00 I doubt it, we are still anonymous online. Think about how many people are arseholes behind a screen whilst talking to people on video games or even comment sections even those that are kind without the mask. While using AI people will do that even more since there’s no consequences of hurting feelings, I don’t think people would care how a virtual society acts like they see them since we know it is something we can easily reset or turn off.

The potential for single-player games is endless, I'm so excited for the future. :D Great video, you just need to reduce the delay and then you could already integrate it. But I wonder how story games will change then? Will there be single-player story games where the ending is completely open and determined by interactions with the AI? And how would you connect that with cutscenes, for example? All very interesting questions!

cutscene would be cool actually, like in skyrim the beginning cut scene would change based on if you talked to the guy that says "youre finally awake" by asking him questions or not, they have even mods that adds new animation to npc if chatgpt can use that somehow as well. they might have to remod the beginning so it can be used that way or something but yeah would be neat how even other game might use it, fallout, sims, gta (hehe), etc

Hey, interesting concept and I just had an idea, not sure if you tested it or not. But would it be possible to seemingly cut the delay shorter if you somehow manage to get the "info packets" into smaller sizes. What I mean is for instance you are saying Hello there, who are you ? instead of sending this in 1 single packet, perhaps first sending the initial "hello" so that Ai can generate response to that and then sending "who are you" so that he can generate response based on that ? and then the last text to speech will wait until player finishes talking to respond ? and go more fluidly with both answers ? or if the other answer is not ready, while response for "hello" is ready, the text to speech starts reading that and then it gets extra second or 2 to generate the addition for "who are you"
