Full build, painting, and weathering of Eduard's 1:48 scale Supermarine Spitfire Mark IX Weekend Edition model kit. You can find the kit here: amzn.to/370Fk7H
Despite being a Weekend Edition this kit comes with four possible painting and marking schemes - I decided upon the Dark Mediterranean Blue scheme that was used over Malta. The actual colours, patterns, and timings of the Spitfire camouflage schemes for Malta is the subject of much debate.
In the video I paint the aircraft with Tamiya acrylics, use an aftermarket set of decals after the kit decals perform very poorly, and do some wear and weathering using oil paints.
