Yes! The northern lights is exactly what I thought of, too! I’ve only seen them once, but will never forget it. Magical, ethereal and mesmerizing…. This soap captured that! Congratulations on winning the challenge - it’s well deserved. And I enjoyed watching and learning through the five-batch process. Never give up at good enough!

Love your designs! I struggle making colors consistent and not streaky or faded, and keeping a thin trace for any amount of time makes it difficult. How do you overcome these issues, or is it a ingredient timing issue I am having? Do you have any good videos on this already that you can point me to? Thanks

It was very cool to see your design progress through multiple batches, especially when you took the time to go down a rabbit hole to investigate a design element you loved. I can sometimes be too mission-oriented and lose the opportunity to just play and explore. Playing and exploring, IMO, is what keeps creativity going and wards off burnout. I do think what you learned on those side quests informed your final design.

I always wondered why soaps have a dull surface look... Is there any way to make a marble soap have a smooth shiny surface like a marble tile? That'll be really cool.

You can use a steamer. It gives a shiny look. However, in my opinion, it gives the soap a used look, but it's all in the eye of the beholder.

I just subscribed to your channel, I found it from watching Katie from Royalty Soaps, it was recommended in my feed. You have the most beautiful techniques, but also, and this is not soap related, your voice is very soothing and relaxing, I have severe asthma,I have recently been very sick and have had a lot more trouble breathing and getting any sleep, even with pure oxygen and breathing treatments I panic. Your videos help me relax and get some rest.

Wow, that last soap was beautiful wasn’t it? As you mentioned, it was like the sunset through a stand of silhouetted trees. It also reminds me of the sky through the trees when there is a bushfire off in the distance. Either way, I’m a total sucker for a good silhouette whatever form it takes - especially natural shapes.
