I love my Fiskars products. The x27 is a beast. Usually when I start to get tired I switch to stacking with the pickaroo

Good idea-I’d be stacking pretty frequently!

@@SundownFarms2024 it’s the best workout a man can get. Love every second of it. I have a terrible back and my pickaroo allows me to keep working with firewood. I have a video using it on my channel. I’m thinking about getting the smaller one for when I’m using the splitter.

@@South601I couldn’t agree with you more. I never worked with a pickaroo but prefer to do things the easy way. Will check out your video, thanks for the recommendation!

One thing I do is not worry about how long my rounds are. Now I don’t sell wood, basically it’s for my own use or I give it away to people who are having trouble with heat in the winter. So I cut through knots, through crotches first and then worry about length after. If my rounds are uneven or my stacks don’t look perfect, I don’t care, because it makes it easier to split by hand. Cut through a knot and putting the knot down definitely makes it easier to split.

Good point-you can always chainsaw it down again once it’s split. Thanks for watching!
