So it could be a reset for all, but only he remembers or it could be that his mind is traversing dimensions everytime he wakes up, so in other realities he did break the loop everytime it resets and the horrible stuff he did stayed.

he committed suicide several times... at some point he just didn't want to wake up at the same day anymore, no matter the consequences. there were some calculations on how long he has relived the same day... it was something over 30 years... or even over 100. I don't remember

I have this theory, that every day in this loop creat a diferent univers. And in each one there's a version of him in which the course ends that day and that Phil has to leave whit the consequences of his actions of that day . The movie is about the version of this guy who goes till the last day-universe creation

Can definitely tell this movie is from the 90's. Today those cops would have PIT'd the car, flipping it over, then come running out with long rifles drawn dumping lead into it and everyone and everything on the other end of the muzzle whether they were involved or not. Also not enough jump cuts in the scenes.

I think if you view the message in it's entirety you will have a different outlook on it and your life. The message is not solely about every day being the same and nothing really matters. It's also saying that even though life can be like that it's up to us to change it for the better. Whatever we find lacking in our lives we must strive to change it for the better and put in the work in doing so. Also know this. Everything means NOTHING without our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in our lives. Seek after the master, for he is our joy and he is our Everything!!! Seek after Lord Jesus and watch as your life changes for the better!
