Bringing the archive to life, a chance to learn about the places and communities in the photographs held in Open Eye Gallery’s collection. Dan Warner, history student at Liverpool University, uses word of mouth and interviews with locals to better build a historical picture of a place and time. A selection of images showing council housing in Liverpool around the 1970s and 80s from photographers John Stoddart, John McDonald and Vanley Burke are the source material for this presentation alongside the stories and findings of Dan’s research.
