Great to see the progress you’re making, the state of the frame doesn’t surprise me, I had an 09 883 Iron bout 6 years ago, the paint on the fenders, battery cover etc started to flake off, the swing arm and frame started to rust also, Harley’s ain’t finished well enough for our climate here in UK, I now have a 2018 114 Fat Boy and the solid Lakester wheels started to pit after 6 months, Dealership wouldn’t stand over them, service manager said the pitting was down to the sintered brake pads, which I might add were in the bike from new.

Awesome work, stoked to see you getting your hands dirty and jumping into an awesome build! I’d love to do one of these builds myself, I think they look amazing and would be exceptionally fun to rip around, obviously not on anything too crazy though as it is a 600lb bike.

Loving the progress buddy! Just bought my first 48 today after many years on Superbikes. Already loving the sportster sickness lot! And still loving your vids after a long time watching.

Hope everything goes well with the new job, On the Stage 1, you can get away with changing the exhaust without changing anything else, you won't get any performance increase but will improve the sound. It is only if you change the air filter for a higher flow unit that you need to start looking at Tuners and remapping as the fueling needs to be adjusted for the increase in air flow. A tuner gives you the flexability to optimise the fueling to match the air flow and to take advantage of the better breathing exhaust, ( you can also adjust things like the rev limit too) so only when you have all 3, Exhaust, High flow air filter and remap with a tuner is it considered a stage 1 tune. hope this clears up why it has the RDS exhaust but is not considered a stage 1. Cheers

Glad you were able to turn your fortunes around. It's a terrible time to have job uncertainty. You could have gone more adventurous than another black HD, but I think the bike will look great!

Hi great channel my friend and I have a question on the chain drive as I didn't think it could be done on the rubber mount motor on the 883 iron? Thanks in advance and my best regards from Alan in south Yorkshire 👍👍🤗

Good work, as mentioned a bench would help, can get some for as little as 60 notes. Are you selling the slammers?

HI found your channel today (I'm from Carmarthen) was searching on Low Rider S - not gone through all vids - what happened to yours (x2) and what do you think of secondhand values of these bikes - only just learning about them but considering one now instead of 2010-2013 Fat Bob. Good work! D

Great vlog really enjoyed it and the build. The comments about the bench are spot on but, buy yourself some overalls and wear old shoes buddy, because all the money you save will be spent on new jeans and white trainers no matter how careful you are.

Got a clear idea on the seat buddy. I'll be using the same seat as the sportster 48. It suits the shape really well.
