Copenhagen is a wonderful city where you want to walk at any time of the year, enjoying its narrow streets, colorful houses, and bright shop windows.
And unlike the rest of Scandinavia, even on Easter, shops, museums, and parks are open in the capital of Denmark. Therefore, the life of the big city continues, spring flowers are planted in flower beds, and the first leaves are already appearing on the trees. Copenhagen is located much south of Oslo or Stockholm and the climate here is milder, so spring comes already in March!
One of the oldest parks in Denmark - Tivoli Gardens, which is located in the very heart of Copenhagen, prepared Easter magic for visitors from bright decorations, interesting concerts, and finally tens of thousands of tulips, hyacinths, and narcissus.
We were in Tivoli in the summer and often come to walk along its alleys at Christmas, but in the spring we came to Tivoli for the first time. By the way, you can watch the video of our Christmas walk here:
• Christmas in Copenhage...
But in contrast to the Christmas video, where we walked only in Tivoli Park, this time we started our walk around Copenhagen from the Copenhagen City Hall, on the central pedestrian street Strøget and we moved to the Nyhavn district.
And since the capital of Denmark is a city of bicycles, we’ll rent orange bikes and ride through Nyhavn, and then back to Tivoli Park! After all, we left it in our video for a tasty treat! :)
At Easter in Norway, the weather was cloudy and cool and it was raining, and it was also cloudy in Denmark, but Tivoli Park, even in gray weather, warms the hearts of visitors with bright colors and gives a feeling of a fairy tale and a spring mood. Which we took with us and are in a hurry to share with you!
At the end of the video, in the evening we invite you to walk with us around Copenhagen, shrouded in warm city lights. And for those who are inspired by the mood and atmosphere, we have prepared enchanting time-lapses of the city at night, and this is always an additional effort to the already difficult process of video shooting. After all, in a timelapse, it is important to take into account all the little things! From finding the perfect angle, to then processing thousands of photos to get just a couple of seconds of video.
By the way, if you are fans of time-lapse videos, then we invite you to admire our hometown Fredrikstad:

Or the amazing natural phenomenon - the Northern Lights, which we caught with our lenses throughout Norway on cold and dark nights:
