Most of the landscape supply stores sell over the counter, a couple of them here in Va Beach. Not just the bigger jug, but the equipment to put it down also. I think most have a walk behind lawn mower and a pump sprayer and think its not do-able. Actually the jug goes further and its faster to apply a round of whatever to the lawn. Looks great!

Brad, I could really use your professional advice. Did a full renovation last fall and it turned out fantastic. This spring everything still looks great not very many problems. My question is I don't know if I went too heavy on seed or if some grass just didn't survive the winter but when you look into the turf there seems to be quite a bit of dead grass material in there. My plan was to do a light dethatc with my groundskeeper rake and light overseesd. Should I worry about the dead material down in there or leave it? Would really appreciate any suggestions. Worried about detaching and weed pressure or doing damage to the turf.
@Primetime_Fescue

I would definitely try and get the brown out if it looks extremely thic it’s gonna end up with disease anyway! You definitely don’t need to rake\dig into the ground just comb the grass like combing your hair lol. If you comb your hair you don’t dig into your scalp so don’t dig into the dirt! All your trying to do is thin it so the grass can breathe and get airflow and if it’s overcrowded then that will let it mature and grow.

Hello, you mentioned in the video that after spraying a LIQUID fertiliser, it should be left on the leaf for 6-12 hours before irrigation. I’ve heard other lawn professionals say that the grass leaves stop absorbing liquid fertiliser (after a foliar application) once the product dries on the leaf. This typically occurs 30-60 minutes after spraying. What are your thoughts? Do you believe the grass continues absorbing foliar-applied products even after the leaves are dry? Thank you!

Well what I was taught in school was 6 to 12. Some of my labels on products say water in after 6 also. Good question I just go with what I know and works for me!

When you mix your liquid fertilizers, do you check the ph afterwards? Are you wanting that ph to be 5 or under? If so, do you add citric acid then to bring the ph down? Just learning more about the ph and plant uptake. Thanks!

Last question if you don’t mind: Is 12Iron your choice of liquid iron day in and day out? I’ve tried others, haven’t been super impressed with results, but I had never checked ph, so will be doing that moving forward. I read that “iron sulphate” is the best form of chelated iron for foliar application? Also, is it always best to include nitrogen with an iron foliage spray? Thanks!
@Primetime_Fescue
Ай бұрын
@ryanconnor7073 yes I only use 12 iron! Imo Iron Glucoheptonate is the best chelated form for foliar apps and 12iron is 12% urea 6% iron

Been reading up on the polyphosphite 0-0-27. Is this something you run year round? Seems like it’s a great product to help with overall plant health when it comes to disease and stress. Currently run a 0-0-20 potassium acetate, but thinking of switching to the polyphoshite 30. Would that make sense to make the switch? Or run side by side?
@Primetime_Fescue

I use the 10-2-4 first app of the year! The 10-4-6 is basically the same thing with a touch more phosphorus and potassium! If you need those 2 and want a quick release nitrogen then that would be good. If you do this spray it let it sit 6 hours and water it in.
