What a calendar, Gary! I have a few races lined up myself: April 10th: Birch Bay 30k (road) Debating on Soaring Eagle Half Marathon for May 22nd (trail) October 10th: Chicago Marathon The last one is one I’ve been debating on signing up for, for the past few weeks at this point: Grand Ridge 50k in November, which would be my first ultramarathon and on trail!! I’ve had multiple running buddies tell me that I can totally do it. If I got words of encouragement from you (I’ve been a big fan of yours since I discovered you from The Ginger Runner), I think that would absolutely seal the deal 😁

The Minatour race looks rad. It's on my little list of races I want to some day do. What are you thinking for your hundred? Teanaway? Carpool?? I'm currently the only Canadian registered, fingers crossed for an open border by September.

Oops, just checked and now there's a couple of Albertans on the Teanaway list.

Beautiful location. Just discovered your channel last week as well as The ginger runner's channel. I decided last week to get back into running and really start to take it seriously again 4 years after i left the military. Do you Sir or perhaps others in the comments have any advice for a stocky 100kg beginner in terms of training frequencies when it comes to working towards marathon length events. Completed my first "longish" run of 9 miles in 1 hour 20 minutes so I'm feeling positive. So much respect for you Mr Robbins.

Love the videos keep up the amazing work! I Just moved to chilliwack any bear concerns this time of year?
@GaryRobbins
3 жыл бұрын
Hey man, welcome to town! Generally no bear concerns just yet, but as the weather warms they'll certainly be out and about again. I've never come across any bears on Elk, but as you go further you'll get into wilder terrain where you'll certainly come across them from time to time. Thankfully almost all black bears here, though some grizzly have been spotted further out, on Custer Ridge above Chilliwack Lake. Ensure you look up bear safety info and carry bear spray if you're uncomfortable at all. Hope you have nothing but great experiences out on the trails here!

Curious to know, what trail runner shoe are you wearing running down the snowy hills? Looks like you got good traction going.

Can you Upload those videos in full 360 degress? That would be awesome to be able to pan around by one self.
@GaryRobbins

I did that once and it got like zero uptake :) I think a very small percentage of people even understand how to view a 360 video and personally I also prefer the set angle.
