Hey man I love your videos, and was wondering if you could make a video on your warm ups as well? I feel like I get injured too often, and it causes me to be really inconsistent. Thanks for the great content 🙏

I think with the ground contact time experiment you did the main reason it improved when you pulled the band right at contact is because you are providing more downward force. The band is pulling you up more in that instant thus making it feel as if you are at a reduced weight but you aren't stretching the band the entire time so it doesn't slow your descent. Your current leg strength and explosiveness combined with the illusion of you having less weight in that instant makes for quicker ground contact times. (Not saying losing weight should be a goal because you are in phenomenal fitness) but I do think that is the main reason behind your ground contact question. I hope you find this interesting 🙂 Also I really enjoy the content. Thank you!

be honest here, have you ever skipped the morning routine because you were feeling lazy? be honest!! I have to admit I have skipped some mobility stuff here and there. If you don't skip it, I have no reason to!

I will reduce my training if I'm feeling like I'm overreaching and doing too much. My main program is in the evenings and the morning stuff is usually "extra". I didn't do as much extra stuff in October and the beginning of November as I usually do, as I was really struggling with motivation at the time. To be honest I don't think I've ever skipped something because I'm feeling lazy. If I'm skipping something it is because I feel like it is too much or unnecessary at the time.

Your reactive strength (vertical stiffness) is not your limiting factor. There are faster sprinters with less vertical stiffness. Shorter contact times are NOT the cause but the effect of faster speeds. Maybe we should not focus on forcing low contact times. We probably should mainly focus on the cause of speed wich is impulse (Force x time). The goal here is to increase the force more than time aka improving rate of force development. Yes reactive jumping is a good tool to measure and improve RFD. But it doesn't target the specific muscles/movement pattern needed for sprinting. Working on the sprint specific movement pattern (techniqe) is the best method. Not general exercises. And not at all weights.

Hey Mathias, what are you doing the resisted runs with? How does it compare to a sled? Thanks
@chinocoffee9565

It's called Exergenie. The resistance is more consistent compared to a sled. You can bring it to anywhere easily so you can bring it to track or turf.
