Helpful presentation, if you have a large list ? how can you run a correlation studies in that case?

If variables are numeric, you can try several matrices of Pearson's correlation using SPSS syntax depending on what you wish to do.

What should you do if you have negative values?
@gandychang
5 жыл бұрын
Do you mean removing cases that has negative values? If that is the case, one way to do it is to use a condition that can select cases based on variable values that are greater or equal to 0. For example: var1 >= 0 | var2 >= 0 | var3 >= 0

@@gandychang I was trying to remove all cases that have missing values, but from what I understood in this video, you were excluding values less than 1 and I have negative values. I think I figured it out though. What I ended up doing was ( ~ NMISS(VARIABLE1, VARIABLE2, VARIABLE3)).

what if something is coded as "0"

If a value is coded as "0" then it is not a missing value. For data in this example, you can set the condition to "< 1".
