Spyderco Para 3 Rivers Edge Cutlery Exclusive CPM-10V DLC Coyote Brown G10: The most distinctive feature of this Para 3 is its blade, which is crafted from CPM® 10V®, the very first member of Crucible's family of high-vanadium tool steels to be made by the Crucible Particle Metallurgy process. CPM 10V's finely tuned vanadium content provides exceptional wear resistance while maintaining toughness and machining characteristics comparable to D2 and M2. Often used as a replacement for carbide in demanding tooling applications, it is also a favorite material of performance-oriented custom knife makers, most notably Spyderco collaborator Phil Wilson. The blade of this elite knife optimizes CPM 10V's remarkable properties with a full-flat grind and a PlainEdge™ cutting edge for outstanding edge geometry and low-friction cutting performance. To help protect the tool steel blade and eliminate reflection in tactical environments, it also features a rich, black DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating. Not to be outdone, the handle of this Para 3 proudly features coyote brown G-10 scales and a four-position pocket clip that offers a choice of left or right-side, tip-up or tip-down carry. The scales are peel-ply textured for a non-slip grip and painstakingly machined to house nested stainless steel liners that form the foundation of the knife's high-strength Compression Lock® mechanism. To complement the blade finish, the clip and all handle hardware also feature non-reflective black coatings. 90 minutes 😮 I just happened to be looking at my phone and saw that on the Spyderco Official site and went over too REC and they were in stock. Jumped on it and lucked out for once I guess. Hope your PT goes well, it’s a lot less than what you will experience but I had a torn rotator cuff and did PT after my doctors told me I’ll need surgery and it worked out great. Stay strong bud and push through it you will be so glad you did.👍🏻

Don’t think ppl love the coyote tan as much as others. Once you have so many P3 it gets crazy. Atleast that’s me at first you want all the drops and now it takes a lot. Specially when there’s a ton of cool ass knives.

You may be right, But the original PM2 10V Scorpion offerings went extremely fast. They're also heavily sought after o secondary market. If Spyderco didn't just drop the 15V Sprints the last 4 months these would have been a 5 minute sellout. Nevertheless I'm glad they lasted 90 minutes so people had a chance to buy themselves instead of later from inflated ebay sellers. Thanks for watching Stephen

I've been through 10 years of chemotherapy/interferon treatment for advanced melanoma, Multiple wide large excisions , 3 level cervical fusion, And numerous broken bones. The CSF leak made everything I thought misery was pale in comparison. 2 weeks of bed rest with all but minimal movement seems to have let the body plug the leak. The drains are out and I go back to see surgeon tomorrow for staples removal. Hopefully I'm past and won't need the epidural blood patch. Thank you for your kind words and for watching. Have a great weekend Race

Im waiting on the satin version of the 10v para 3 to drop. What are your thoughts on the spydiechef? Another one ive wanted to try but hesitant. Thanks!

Hopefully the Satin hangs around a couple hours, Or more! I like the Spydiechef and think it's a great lightweight carry for casual use. It's just a tad thin (XL-XXL hands)and I don't like the way "most" versions have 75% lockup out of box. Try one and if you don't like it send it back. Thanks for watching Stone

You don't think the CRK and Hinderer guys are not in the same boat! Same Sebenza with different blade shape, Micarta scales, Unique graphic,Etc. Same with Hinderer with all their knives and accessories, I mean $200 for a Ti scale 🤔😕. The problem with those knives is they cost two to three times as much. I don't judge anyone's collecting habits, It's all enjoyable! Thanks for watching

@@knifevideochannel4657 CRK seems like a knife bro status symbol to me. I've never had one, they look like really high quality objects but over priced. Like a red blooded male's version of a Gucci bag or whatever.

I couldn't agree more! I bought a XM-18 and Sebenza 21 when I first got into the hobby! Both were a disappointment with the XM poor detent and the CRK horrible thumb stud geometry. I recently bought the newer versions of both along with a Koenig Arius. The money they want for these blades (especially Koenig) is ridiculous. These knives are for people (not everyone of course)that get their kicks posting on Instagram never cutting anything. That being said if people want to use the knives for status, Display, Obsessing over, Or actual cutting, That's their business. I just enjoy the hobby doing my own thing.

🤔 yeah, they have so many cpm10v knives they’ve done over and over…..only company too use maxamet. 15v. You can’t get close too as many different steels with ANY Other company compared with what Spyderco does. And they do their heat treatment right. But too each their own 👍🏻
@jeffhicks8428

@@DuhYaThink maybe there's a reason they're the only comany selling knives made of steels like maxamet. That's cool and all as a novelty but eventually it's nothing more than a gimmick. They could try innovating for real for a change rather than the endless gimmick of making the same knives over and over with "different steels." Maxamet nor 15v are not good general use knife steels anyhow. What would be innovative if you want to do SMART things with exotic steels? Hmm how about pushing for a high abrasion resistance variant of magnacut to get made? Or for now how about laminating k390 with lc200n or another high toughness high corrosion resistance steel They could start with actually hiring an industrial designer so all of their products weren't so aesthetically unappealing, which serves to increase the pretense factor. They want to act like this is some very serious tool for a very serious man, when in reality it's mostly a toy that lives most of it's life in the drawer of a man child. Real talk. Real talk, most end users can't even maintain or sharpen AEBL. WTF are they doing with "maxamet" or some dumb shit like that? Living some fantasy that it's okay that they don't actually know how to maintain a knife, this one "never needs to be sharpened!" No sorry, even maxamet goes dull, likely by chipping, aka edge failure, btw which is the single worst mode of failure in blade steels, at that. Then what? garbage bin? sounds about right.
