I am happy to say I recently got one myself. I too am very impressed as this Slicey Spydie has become my edc favorite. That said, I use my multi tool blade for most hard use tasks as I don’t desire to abuse the Spydiechef I like it that much. Of course the price makes me more protective as well, but well worth the money..

Like yourself I have a ton of knives in my collection and most of them eventually move out to make room for something new, but the Spydiechef has stuck around for the last two plus years because it actually gets used a LOT. I can just about always find something I dislike about a particular model but I have a hard time finding anything to complain about with this one, the sum of it’s parts and the execution are just so functional and near flawless. It’s honestly the one knife I think I’d really miss if it ever got lost or stolen.

I really like that knife a lot, and I’m happy you reviewed it! I feel the same about Spydercos, I didn’t want to collect them, but they do make great knives! 😅

Great review. You certainly should be mad you have to get one. It’s worth every penny.

The Spydiechef is at the top of my wishlist. I almost bought one earlier this year, but ended up getting a TRM Neutron, while they were available.

The Chef is a on par with, if not better than, the TRM Atom as a slicer. And TRM makes a very slicey knife

One of the Spyderco's I would like to own, its blade shape, the design, the materials are gorgeous, but it stills a little bit overpriced to my wallet ;) maybe someday... Thanks for the video Peter, take care :)

This was what I wanted for Christmas when they first came out . Honestly I am glad I didn't get one everytime I see it makes me want on less and less lol. Like the PM2 I recently got wanted one for so long and it definitely didn't live up to the hype. That is the great thing about knives something for everyone.

The Spydiechef has been on my really want one of those list for a while. Trouble is, it keeps getting shuffled backwards on my list when something else catches my eye. One of these days though, I do plan to pull the trigger on one.

Fascinating blade shape. But I just can't see myself using a folding knife in the kitchen. Not even a camp kitchen. Perhaps I need to check my assumptions.

I very much understand, but as a (former) back packer things like the Chef make a lot of sense.

I can see that. But even then I usually carry a fixed blade of some sort. Old habits die hard, I think is the reason.
