Weird defective serving technique. Fault!

It's almost impossible to tell that for certain on the spot and it's not realistic to check the video every time. Hence technically a foot fault but realistically it won't be called.

When that kid up there serves both feet are already outside of the area.... Absolute fault. (more than evident on the video... unless we don't "want" to see it).

@@paulobastos1774 Yes. Anyone can see this foot fault when it played in slow motion like here. My point is that it's hard to spot it at sight in real time.

@@epymkmov6985 Nop... you can see it even without the slow motion. The whole body comes out of the serve box too much. A strong indicator that the whole player base moved out of it. An untrained eye won't see it... a good referee will see it. And he did. it was a good call.

@@paulobastos1774 An untrained eye, huh? I'll keep in mind that I need to train not just one, but both eyes. lol. Also I have no idea what you are referring to "it was a good call" because the ref didn't call him a foot fault, in fact he was never called that and hence he served like this for the entire match. It's in the archive so you can check it for yourself. You should always get the facts straight or you'll end up making a fool of yourself. or shall I just say, "An untrained brain won't understand it..." Cheers!

@@epymkmov6985 Well... if no one called it fault, it's more than proven that it's amateur level on both fronts referee and players. But it absolutely should had been more than obvious called foot fault... And if he served the whole match like that (the whole match??? And you call it professional???)...mmmm.... maybe because it's a squash tournament in God knows where in Oregon... and someone definitely made a fool out of you 🤣 It wouldn't have passed me. I would allow it for a first time with a warning to the "smart" player... on second "smart foot fault"... loss of serve and a point for the opponent. Dig it? ;) (that's what's in the rules... for the professional circuit... of course). But then... you're in Oregon...🤣

The likes of Nick Matthew would have been called on many serves. Seems like silly rule as most players move the move out as they serve it is very hard to tell when the foot is out in relation to racquet/ball contact.

I really don't get it about foot faults. In tennis, there isn't this kind of bs about the rule; it's clearly treated as the end of the rally and a point to the other guy. 40 years ago, it wasn't like this and foot faults were called confidently. These days, no one seems to bother and even qualified referees are telling me that they deliberately ignore the rule if 'in their opinion' it was 'just minor' and didn't give any material advantage. I have a dream that one day we'll have enough funding for the sport and proper computerised electronics that will detect all line faults whatever their nature.

Of course there is this same rule in tennis (for those who play tennis and are minimally aquatinted with the rules) if when you serve your foot gets inside the court and touches it before the racket hits the ball... it's "foot fault" as well. And this rule always existed in Squash too. What the kid is doing up there is faking the serve completely by going out of his serve area and hitting the ball already when he is in the middle of the court... It's more than fault. it's bending the rules at will. The square on the floor is there for that reason, it's where you serve. The same thing in Tennis, you serve outside the finishing line, it's not supposed to have a foot inside the finishing line. In Handball you have the same rule when you shoot to goal, you have to do it with the feet outside of the goal area, if your foot touches the goal area before the ball leaves your hand... it's fault as well. When that kid up there serves both feet are already outside of the area.... Absolute fault. As you can see rules exist. So what are you talking about? ;)

In tennis, if the foot fault was on first serve, then you've got your second serve, but if it was a second serve you foot faulted on, then you lose the point. (basic tennis rules) ;)
