Do you have squeaky rear brakes? Here's a video showing how to remove and clean the drums of a 2007 Ford Focus. Very easy! Tools required:
1. Tire iron to remove wheel lug nuts (19mm)
2. Jack to get wheel off the ground and jack stands to hold car up
3. A flat screwdriver and hammer to pry off the dust cover
4. a 29mm socket to remove the drum's lock nut (in a pinch, 30mm will work but 29 is the correct size)
5. Brake Cleaner (you can also use compressed air *if outdoor and upwind*). DO NOT breathe that stuff in.
6. Rear nut is torqued to 175 ft-lbs, and should not be removed more than four times. Use a permanent marker to make a mark on the nut each time it is removed.
7. Lug nut torque is 94 ft lbs (used 100 in vid - I was close)
8. A little Anti Seize on the wheel bolts can prevent seized/snapped bolts. Don't use a lot. My son used way too much in the video and I wiped 90% of it off.
