Nice looking guitar! For guitars like that, I've always liked the white pick guard with a solid color; I guess it kinda gives it that "Converse" vibe, or like a baseball t-shirt. However, Black and Purple can be a cool combination; I'd say maybe take a picture of it first and use some editing software to change the color from white to black and get an idea how it will look before doing too much work or spending more money on it. But, it's your guitar, so do what you want, haha!

I did that before I got it HA! I'm still torn but time will tell. A black one is only $20 so I can try it and see and if I like the white better than I can always go back.

I like that you bought something different. I need a new FR guitar but otherwise, I really want things that aren't what I already have. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it.

Marbled black pick guard. To fix your Les Paul frets so they don't snag and nearly cut you and it plays even better use a flat needle file to shave the edge of the fret wires down. Slight angle going from the fingerboard toward the back of the neck as you file so you don't risk pushing the fret wires out. Baritone's are cool! The pick guard I suggest is the Black Pearloid (on sweetwater).

Great video, I'm subscribing! Find a "Mint Green" pick guard. I think that with the Chrome hardware, a faded mint 3 ply would be a great classic look.

Get a matte black pickguard. I have the black one and adding that pickguard makes it look so cool. One ply-matte black.

I ordered the 2nd to last Purple Sparkle Baritone yesterday...today the last one at Sweetwater sold. I can't wait to get it ! I think it ships with 14-68 gauge strings. Some drop tune to C, A or even G.

I bought that last one! I was not believing that there was no more until I snagged it and while my man at Sweetwater, Jason was putting the order together, I refreshed the page and alas, they were gone! I ordered a Sunburst one last year with a setup and yes, 14 - 68.

Why does it cost almost 100 dollars more than a regular one just to be purple. Makes me upset because I really want it but my brain can't justify 569 for purple vs 475 for black which is also cool.

The black with a one ply matte black pickguard looks sick as hell. Mean. Not flashy.
